New Requirements/Clan System + Recruitment Surge

With today we officially announce a new clan System. The Combat and Skill Divisions have been removed and been recombined into one General Members group. This change was brought about so that members do not feel constricted to their one Division. We will still have the Warlord position (and there will be a separate War Team), but the members are not split into Combat/Skill. We encourage members to do everything; however, we do realize that there are skillers (and only skillers) out there, for which we will keep our Separate Skill Leader position.

With this change, we have adjusted our Requirements to best fit our needs. As a new clan, we want to encourage as many players to join as possible. We are a semi-loose ALL-AROUND clan so we do feel it is best that we encourage everyone, no matter their gameplay time, to join the clan. We do; however, want to keep ourselves restricted to members who are willing to play, not members who create a new character, join, and then quit the character once they've played him for a little while or are reinstated their interest in their main account.
IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THESE REQUIREMENTS TO BE RAISED IN THE FUTURE!

When our War Leader is selected we will alter this according to his/her needs. It is possible that we have a war team for only a certain level; however, we may also start training lower levels so they are ready when they reach the corresponding level.

Lastly, there are a few Recruitment Staff positions open. Recruitment Staff are fundamental members of the clan. The Recruitment Leader will have access to only the board template in the Admin Control panel so they can edit the news box with updates on Recruitment Only. They also maintain our Recruitment Threads on various forums and are responsible for posting in other people's "Looking for Clan" threads such as the Forum designated to that on Zybez. They have moderation privileges in the Applications Forum ONLY and once they have established themselves as trustworthy will gain access to a portion of the Admin Control Panel so that they can edit members to put them into the Appropriate Group after Applying and Validate them.

With that said, we highly encourage everyone to Recruit. A new profile field has been added to ask where they found out about us. If you are strong in recruiting, post our recruitment thread around, and post around our Forums and stay active and be mature, you are likely to get the position.

Hello Zodiac,

Over the past while, you've noticed changes. In this thread, I recollect those changes for you.

Firstly, I want to congratulation "The Cactus Clan" on it's recent alliance with us. Everyone, please welcome them with open arms and treat them as your brethren. If you need a URL to their site, please look in their Alliance Application. A more convenient link will be added soon on the front page.

Secondly, Banners have been added for both the Innovation Skin as well as the Augeas (Default) Skin. I hope you enjoy them.

Thirdly, we encourage everyone to invite all their friends. Considering it's the start of the school year, it is very difficult to recruit. Please post, invite, suggest, join the CC/IRC, etc. This clan won't get anywhere without the members, no matter how hard the Staff Try.

Recently, I've created a banner for both the AUGEAS Theme (Dark) as well as the INNOVATION theme (LIGHT). Which theme do you like more, and why?

This will determine the default skin (seen by users when they are Guests).

As we Move to the New Forum...

Hey Guys!

Firstly, I want to Apologize. Activity has dwindled and that is mainly my fault. I have slacked with updates/events/etc. I haven't been updating our Recruitment threads so we didn't really gain many new members. I also started school, as did most of you, and have been quite busy (but that's no excuse).

This New Forum is about changing that. If you took a good look at the site yesterday (or even early today), you've possibly noticed that a lot has changed.

• The Newsbox has reached it's main form. I like the way it's laid out and it took me a while to perfect. What do you think?
  
• I've updated every user with their old post count, and added it to the post count here. You should notice that your post count increased. If you just registered, I haven't been able to do it to you, so PM me and tell me in your application.

What I NEED You to Do
Please. Please. Please. We are a small clan still growing at the beginning of the school year.

It's Time to Switch to the New Zodiac!

Hey Guys,

Earlier this week, some of you may have noticed Eval Riz's post concerning our Forum type.

We, being the Zodiac Staff, were not sure wether or not to stay with Zetaboards or to switch to IPB V1.3. After much thought and consideration, we have unanimously agreed that it would be better to switch to IPB V1.3.

Not only will we be switching our forum hoster, but as a clan, Zodiac will also be undergoing some changes. We will now have both War and Skilling Divisions, with different requirments for each. Joining one doesn't mean you can't attend wars/events in the other, but that will be your primary and distinctive position in the clan. Eval Riz will also be choosing a skill leader and war leader as time comes.

Eval Riz and Zodiac Staff ask that everyone would go to the new site, register, and apply once more. The link to the new Zodiac site is HERE.

Please note that the site is not yet complete. There are still changes to be made, but Eval Riz and the Zodiac Staff do want to get everyone moved into there as quickly as possible.

Concerning Forum Type

Hey Guys,

This is the first board I've had with Zetaboards. From what I had heard, it was a great forum host.

I am concerned, however, that most users would rather have an IPB V1.3 board. Is this so?

If it is, the time to switch is now, while we are small. If it is, and we switch, we will attract more members.

What are your thoughts/concerns?

Godly has been promoted to our first moderator, and Blasphemy is our first member of the events team.

On Beginning Full-Scale Recruitment

Hello members of Zodiac.

Fortunately, the clan site has been produced and the clan is ready to begin full-scale recruitment.
It is unfortunate, however, that our members are so few.

What can we do?
As we are now ready to begin full scale recruitment, I ask EVERYONE to invite ALL of their friends on Runescape to contact me and visit our site..

I also ask you guys to post the recruitment thread, located here, on all forums that you may think of. DO NOTE: Some forums already have it posted. Please tell us where you post it. If we need to link back to that forum, please tell me!

Lastly, we are hoping to have our first event soon. We'd like to do an event that will promote the clan to people around us. This rules out games like Fishing trawler, where you do not meet many people.
What do you suggest we do?

Please post regarding all these issues and do everything you can to recruit more members! :Wub:
