Codes Unlimited was founded in february of 2002 by NegativeSmoke, who went by "Codemasta" at the time. It was a revolutionary website & forum, different from the others because it focused on video game enhancer codes & hacking.

These were only around for a few months, NS ran them with Punkymcpunkster (who went by many other names during the CU lifespan but stayed with him nonetheless) and ScrewU2, whom disappeared off the face of the earth, they lasted a few months then they moved to InvisionFree.

NS started CU on an invisionfree forum, nothing big just a forum to compete with GS & Zork Boards at the time, however they lasted about 4 months. NS got busy with posting on the good old GameShark forums where he met many friends.

NS was offered hosting by GameShark V.I.P Trel, Who hosted him Codes Unlimited's first real forum, an Invision Power Board, it went by the name "CodeWorld". CU was born under version 1.1 of Invision Board, with the help of Trel, Tarlster & Bebopman it was modded into a solid enjoyable forum.

After meeting Zanoey off of MHI (an old affiliate of CU ran by Bebopman) NS decided to pick him up and have him as a tech admin. Zanoey helped upgrade the boards from v1.1 to 1.2 and then eventually 1.3 (Where CU died at a later date.)

After hitting about 456 members and over 50k in posts, NS as well as the rest of the CU staff at the time, noticed it was time to close the doors....CU died in late 2005. NS ressurected (or tried to) Codes Unlimited in mid 2006 and it only lasted til around november of 2006.
