This game was specifically made to be as realistic as possible. If you are here to fight using ULTIMATE WAVE OF DARKNESS BEAM, you are in the wrong place. We are first, and foremost, story-driven, and all players are encouraged to look at the world of Year 0 as if it were ours in the near future. This is intended to be a small game consisting of only a dozen or two payers. If your character gets rejected, you don't have to give up. Ask the staff for help, take criticisms and you might come out with a really spectacular creation. And now, everyone's favorite part: Rules 1. OOC drama is to be squashed. Your problems with fellow players should be solved in a mature fashion. If you cannot do this, please ask the staff for help instead of flaming one another - it's what we're here for. 2. There is no limit on how many characters you may have, but it is suggested that you have no more than five characters at one time. 3. Posts need to remain simple. No added pictures (with the exception of signatures, of course), no font or font color changes. Use bold and italics for emphasis. No OOC information in posts unless it's a short communication to the other player(s) that has something to do with the thread, and please edit your posts as opposed to double posting. Double posting for bumps is straight-up not allowed. 4. The idea is quality, not quantity, but try to at least get past three or four good paragraphs (200-300 words). If I see one-liners, you will get a warning and be asked to add more to the post. If it continues, you will be banned. Likewise, an occasional typo is understandable, but repeated bad grammar is terrible to try to read through. Please spell-check your posts. 5. The god-modding, meta-gaming, and puppeting rule. DON'T DO IT! If you need these terms explained to you, you may want to get some more experience under your belt before joining this game. 6. You cannot kill another player's character unless it is agreed upon. 7. Strive for creativity. Have a reason for your character to meet another, don't let coincidental happenstance be your excuse for everything. Likewise, your character will most likely not get accepted with names like "Aryn Windsong" or personalities that are completely predictable. 8. You must make a separate account for all characters, and the username must be the name of that character, whether it be their whole name or just the first. 9. Signatures are not to exceed 500 pixels in width. 10. This rpg borders on pg13 and mature. If mature content is present in your thread, add a warning to the thread title. Ex: In the Beginning [M] 11. Advertise in the Advertising Forum. Nowhere else. 12. It's a sad thing when plot-holes happen, so to keep this from occurring too easily, you need to be able to post at least once a week. Failure to do so will result in a warning. If it happens again after that, you will be banned for 2 months. If it happens again, you will be banned indefinitely. If you're going away, or you're having some irl problems (it happens, we understand), please let us know in the Hiatus forum in the OOC section of the site. Alright, now that you're done with that bit, come on over to the OOC forums and introduce yourself, then make a character using the profile skeleton and submit it to the character profiles. YOUR CHARACTER MUST BE STAMPED APPROVED BEFORE YOU START PLAYING. Edited by Crowley, Sep 21 2009, 08:32 PM.
