Kitty couldn’t help but smile to herself as the sights and sounds of good ol’ New York came back to her. As much as she loved the Mansion at Westchester, sometimes she had real withdrawal symptoms from New York; maybe it was the lack of fumes that was making her crazy. She gave an involuntary shudder as she realised how near she was to her little “accident” where she had exposed her powers to the whole of 5th Avenue. ‘Well, maybe not the whole but a large section,’ she mentally corrected herself.

“You think he’s cute?” Kitty ask, startled. She must be caffeine deprived if she hadn’t scouted out the potential guys here. She looked over to where Scott stood and gave him an appraising eye. “Humm, not too shabby. But, I’m liking the blonde more. He had me at ‘my treat’, haha,” She said to Lorna with a wink. “Why don’t I help this budding romance along, hum?” Without waiting for a response, she grabbed the Lorna’s arm and dragged her over to where the boys stood, making sure the green haired girl and Scott where now stood next to each other, “Hey, guys, hope you don’t mind us joining ya. Lorna was just admiring the view,” She said with a smile as she looked from Scott to Lorna, hoping the guy would take the hint.

‘Well, Hell, just call me Cupid.’ She thought to herself, maybe the trip wasn’t going to be a total waste of time.

New York city. One of the dirtiest, loudest, most crime ridden places on the east coast if not in the whole of the United states. Smog raised up from pipes in ceilings while stray dogs ran free in neighborhoods inbetween the homeless men and women who seemed to practically paint the brick walls of buildings with their sheer presence in number. The buildings towered up above the streets as far as the eye could see, if not even further, it really was a sight to see. Of course Remy didn't exactly do the whole, get on a double Decker bus and go explore the city with a bunch of tourists thing, even he had standards.

Besides the filth and the lacking maintenance of the city's cleanliness and other problems, crime also was a large part of the stuff which Remy saw in the city. Whether it was an old lady being mugged, or a conveniences store, or an armored truck. Practically if something had wheels on it , it would pretty much be considered as 'cannon fodder' for the carjackers of the city. It was small crimes that Remy could have easily stopped, whether he had just fought them, or had it come to it had to use his powers. Remy had decided when he had come to the city that he would certainly try to not use his powers in a super-obvious manner if he could help it. This of course didn't count for advanced card tricks or small uses of his power which could be confused for other things like failing equipment. He would stop larger crimes if it looked like someone was going to get hurt besides the bastards committing the crime.

Remy himself was considered a sort of thief back from where he was from, well old habits certainly died hard. He had never relaly had a literal job in his life, not to say that he had never worked but not necessarily for an over-the -table super legal paycheck. Other than that he had learned to survive on the streets through pickpocketing and petty theft. And still today his main source of income were the people who didn't keep a tight enough grip on their wallet when they saw the Rajin Cajun coming down the street. It was certainly a modest living, not like kings and queens, but helpful for sure. Stealing was actually the sort of reason that he was in NY city anyways, considering how he hailed all the way from New Orleans rather than this crowded city. Certain things were similar but this was hardly home.

To understand why Remy was doing what he was doing one would have to understand a brief summary of his future or 'proposed hypothetical future'.
He had grown up as an orphan after the death of his parents. Well to be technical his mom had died while trying to push his sorry ass out of the womb and his son of a bitch father had never been around anyways so Remy had never been overly anxious to get to know him. He grew up on the streets where he learned to be a card shark and a gentleman's thief, not a low-down scoundrel but a thieving with class and style. He had a friend named Riverick Tomps who taught him the ropes and how to be the way he was and survive on the streets of New Orleans. Remy would also take up Savate Martial arts and learn how to defend himself. Unfortunately Riverick would eventually be murdered and Remy would go on a long quest which would end up with badly burned gangster and the realization that he had powers.

Course he never knew that having powers would cause things like a furry bastard and a southern belle trying to kidnap him in his own home town. These were knew to him, and frankly he had mixed emotions of excitement as well as confusion. He was no expert on mutants, and understood that powers worked but not exactly how people got their powers. He would eventually escape the two people chasing him and make his way into the alleyways which he knew so well. He had grabbed enough money and clothes that he could be on the road for quite some time. This attack made him think, if this happened then maybe what happened to Riverick had happened differently. The police even said it might have been suicide, but Remy refused to believe. He would drop into connections he had on the darker side of business and find a video tape with a very large man with a helmet , who he figured had powers as well after watching , standing in the room with his friend when there had been a bang and his friend had died. Now being from a security camera across the way it was hardly good quality, and a bad angle, but it was a lead. This man had no doubt murdered his friend with a gun, destroyed all video and evidence and ran. But where could he look for mutants?

NY came to mind as the most logical answer. For one he had family over there, a distant cousin who had only met several times but they had always been pretty cool to eachother. Also he had seen on some random news stories that there had been mutant spottings in NY, and god damn he needed to find this man and get vengeance for his friend. So he got some money and got a dinky private plane over to NY, to try and remain inconspicuous. He wasn't noticed, this was good news. He had used his cousin, not exactly the cleanest businessman around to gain some connections to perhaps the less than innocent side of business in the area. Because if there had to be someone to get him information on his friend's killer, he was pretty sure it wasn't going to be a really morally-compassed guy. Well he had indeed found a connection who could help him out, apparently this man knew some stuff about mutants, or at least thought he did, and at the moment thats the best that Remy could hope for. But this man wanted payment in exchange for information, ergo, today's mission.

Remy was going to attempt to steal "Metamorphosis of Narcissus" by Dali. Apparently the man who knew his cousin had always had a fond attraction to this piece of work. Remy knew some of art and culture, and he could certainly play off like he knew it all super well. But with any luck this wouldn't be the kind of assignment where he would have to deal with other people. He liked things when they went smoothly, that way he had more time to go out and have fun later. Of course having fun in the middle of the mission was also something he had been known to do on occasion. Anyways this is all that went through his head as he made his way down the sidewalk towards the Metropolitan museum. He had thought about just sneaking in and stealing it at night, but security was actually more vigilant at night and greater in number, and anyways where would be the challenge if nobody could see you. So he decided that he would just be a visitor, he managed to snag a wallet which had a membership card inside, luckily one which didn't require picture ID. He was looking particularly sharp today with a long black trench coat, black jeans connecting to shiny black nice dress shoes with a pin-striped vest over a black dress up shirt. To top it off he had a clean black fedora which was fitted and very sharp.

As he made his way into the museum he saw a bus pull up with a bunch of people around his age or younger getting off. Fantastic, just what he needed today, kids. For some reason sometimes he just thought that people his age didn't understand all the shit that he had gone through and that alot of them had it real easy. Little did he know what they were truly capable of, but within the group he did spot a couple of spicy gumbo style ladies, hot and irresistible, he would have to take a second to get to know one or a few of them later. He made his way to the door his recently acquired membership card, at which point he flipped it several times dexterously in his hand before flashing it and making his way into the museum.

Warren was offering food. “I had a little something already, but if you can get me the most caffeinated drink on the planet, I would be ever so grateful, Angel.” Alison replied. She was still not used to him buying stuff for her. Grated, she had guys buy her drinks all the time at the bars she performed at. This was a little different though. Did they have a thing as Ororo wondered to herself? The rocker really had no idea. They hung out here and there, even went out for food once, but things were up in the air. Funny if you think about one of the people involved. They still had to make dinner together sometime. She also had to surprise him another time with a pancake breakfast. She’d have to do it soon. At least the prospect of surprises and caffeine were helping the young woman now.

Ororo came over as Warren went off to make friends, and asked about Kyle. She shook her head, and rolled her eyes. “I dunno. He’s an adult, but technically so am I. I met him shortly after I got here, and the guy is just all over the place. I mean even one time he had like this mini freak out, and set some paper on fire. I mean if that’s not a cry for attention… And this is coming from a freak like me. I swear, I’m like so close to buying him some emo soap or something.” Ali shook her head again and chuckled softly. “He probably wouldn’t get it though, so not worth the effort. It’s just… The guy doesn’t act in any way that I really want to listen to him. Now Logan, I wish he was the one here. I’m so sure it’s not his thing, but he’s good people. And even though he’s a little short like, not bad to look at either. I could probably even get away with making my coffee ‘Irish’ and so long as I got one for him too, he wouldn’t bat an eye. Guy’s really gruff, but not unbearable. So overall cool. Not like this guy at all. I mean seriously… ‘Hey you with the glasses’? I just got a feeling this trip is gonna be fun. So….” Alison looks around at all the people talking or otherwise standing around. “We got some nummy pieces of eye candy at the school, don’t we? Any flavor in particular catch your eye yet, or still sampling?”

Speaking of eye candy… as they were not quite inside just yet, blue eyes spotted a rather rakish looking young man make his way past them, and up the stairs and inside. “Maybe I should be taking more trips to museums. So many sights to see. Well, ready to rock the joint, ‘Ro? Of course, after nourishment.” Alison then looked at Warren. “You’re leaving this poor girl starving you know.” She says while pointing a thumb at her white haired companion. “We gonna get our drink and nosh on?”

This trip was going to worse than Kyle had expected as, most of the younger students didn’t respect him very well. They had mixed feelings about Kyle too that he was just a dull, boring adult who messed everything up and got in their way. Sitting all alone on the bus Kyle just kept his mouth shut so no one would bother him.

“Oh what a wonderful day this is turning out to be, I mean I don’t even know why I’m doing this school thing. I’m not even a good example for those who need one. Sure the Professor thinks so, but who am I kidding.” For most of Kyle’s life he has alienated himself away from others, and never fully learned to deal with this problem. While the kids were enjoying themselves Kyle was using his musical gifts to write music whenever he felt feelings of stress.

Over the course of the bus ride Kyle would daydream of flying his old F-16 and mirrored the movements that were completely burned in his memory. He would hum out several songs that he wrote. Finnally reaching the Museum the students got of the bus. Knowing he would sooner or later have to speak again Kyle turned around to the students. “Guys and Gals once we get to the Museum I will be splitting you in groups so I trust you wont cause any trouble while were there.” He began to move forward towards the entrance of the Metro Museum of art waiting for the Insults to begin once more.

The students were just being themselves even though Kyle thought they were going to bother him. These feelings were normal for Kyle, because for most of his early life he never really got to experience being a teenager. “Most of them don’t really know me they just think of me as some sob-story or baby….” He wasn’t just going to walk over and try to hang-out with them he was too old for that.

His cheeks flushed a little red as Warren whispered into his ear about having his eye on ‘sweet’ things. He quickly caught himself before he looked to startled that someone had spotted him looking and turned his head to face the other boy,

“Its not a crime to look is it?”

Pushing the sleeves of his jumper up his forearms he reached up and adjusted his glasses slightly, making sure to keep his eyes close as he did so. It wouldn’t do to level half the museum because he got careless. That wasn’t the kind of attention any of them needed right now. The idea of food and coffee was appealing but he wasn’t sure he was comfortable with someone else paying for it, especially since it seemed most of the other were already quite willing to sponge off the blonde boy. He looked over the angelic features of the young man face and almost instantly felt overshadowed by his good looks. And he was rich to boot. Scott was solely dependant on the savings that had been left to him and his brothers by their parents that he couldn’t afford to just throw it around.

The young mans eyes wandered over the long coat Warren wore before he spoke again,

“You not warm in that thing? Pretty sure there’s a cloak room or something here where you can leave it.”

Before he could carry on any kind of conversation, he was watching Kitty practically dragging Lorna over in their direction, a shocked look fading from her face. The younger girl had a big grin on her face as she shoved Lorna into place beside Scott, seemingly pleased with herself. Scott nodded briefly to them in greeting and then let his eyes drift back to the building. He smiled when Kitty spoke,

“I’d have to agree its incredible, so perfectly formed and full of character. It’s a shame that its not looked after the way it used to be. But I guess the museums funds are limited and repairs tend to fall behind.”

His head flicked round in Kyle’s direction as the man spoke, listening to his instructions,

“Shall we?”

With all the girls attention, it was not to keep a straight face. "Join in by all means girls, but walk and talk. Me and Scotty here are first in line for some caffeinated breakfast." He made sure to steer the guy with the ruby specs on up the stairs as they went Warren whispered "Trust me play hard to get, they'll want more." He turned back to see Ororo with Alison, he winked and continued on his way. "Make that six." Hank the eager beaver and Kyle had gotten ahead of the group, Warren made sure the fellas got in before the girls, but only so they could check him out as he ascended the stairs.

Warren considered the kind thoughts from Scott, but it wasn't going to happen. "I'd love to remove the coat champ, but rules are rules. I figure the professors would get a little worried when they open tomorrow's Daily Bugle and see the heading 'Winged messanger proves existance of God.' Might be a little much." He said and shrugged his shoulders giving his coat a little shuffle from his wings to signify what was hidden from the public's eye.

Inside the building Warren whistled his appreciation. It was a lot larger than he recalled the place to be and there were actually quite a few people comming and going. "This way to the cafeteria and on your left you will notice the information booth, which was discovered three hundred years ago in Paris, France." He gave a wink to one of the workers and walked his way towards breakfast. He was actually surprised at how little the place smelled like a stuffy old basement, which he immediately had associated with how museums should smell. The place was fairly modern, probably thanks to donations by his father as one of the members.

Even Warren couldn't help but be fascinated, as he walked deeper inside the building, his eyes would dart from left to right. After a while he could feel his neck doing a bit of tennis, swiveling his whole head from side to side. Though when he spotted the place where food was being offered he locked on like an eagle and swooped, though not in the literal sense, towards the line. His mouth was watering already, if only he had been up earlier like everyone else he could have gotten breakfast aswell as a little early 'stroll' in the sky. Now he was going to be stuck indoors all day and not able to use his wings.

“Hmm...” She made the sound softly as Ali was speaking, she couldn't help but giggle at the mention of emo soap she too also thought that he wouldn't get the joke, “He certainly must have some nice issues goin' on, I mean we're coping fine right? Maybe he needs some prozak...” She couldn't help but think was he going to split them into groups now or later because it seemed Hank had already set off up the steps without the rest of them, Warren seemed to know how to handle the group best if she had to nominate a leader...hopefully the professor knew what he was doing.

“Heh, yeah... it would definitely be interesting to see Logan in a museum, I really doubt we'd be here long”
She grinned, it would have made the trip a lot more fun and she certainly wouldn't have minded looking at him while she tried to concentrate on some sketch of a woman and bails of hay or something weird. The topic conveniently moved onto eye candy of course there were a few that she wouldn't mind sinking her teeth into but, she knew that she better not “There sure is, but me and the dating game do not mix well...sure I'd like to but...I'll just see how things go” She shrugged in a defeatist manner, one ex put in a coma and one dead was not a track record that she wanted to keep up.

She missed Alis appraisal of the man ascending the steps as she thought on her past mistakes, chipping away at the black nail polish mindlessly “About as ready as I'm gonna be” She nodded at the punk rocker and grinned as she told Warren off before taking to the stairs. This was badly needed a coffee to warm and wake her up and something to line her stomach.

She took a good look around as she walked in, it was so beautiful she made a small “Ooh” sound as she admired the interior it really was the swank, she could get used to being dragged to places like this... she now lived in a god damn mansion, someone upstairs liked her. She neatly propped herself in line in the cafeteria, grabbing herself a cappuccino and a blueberry muffin. Noting that would be too heavy on her if she was going to be walking around. She sat herself down at a table, crossing her legs and relaxing back into the plastic char and picked at the muffin.

Remy walked into the museum with relative ease and not so much hassle from the guards. Nobody who was going to cause any trouble would walk into the museum without any signs of worry; the guards figured that the obvious suspects were the ones who showed it on their faces. Luckily for Remy he had spent a majority of his life learning to control his face, the way he carried himself so that he could portray any level of confidence which in turn made him more confident. Besides Remy was a smooth talker when it counted, this being the case should any of the guards have stopped him he reckoned he could be out and getting the VIP tour within minutes. Perhaps Remy was a little cocky on his level of safety, but from where he was standing he held all the cards to get through this mission with relative ease.

He looked around the museum once he entered and instantly starting placing things in his mind from what he saw. How many guards were at the entry way, as well as other visible passageways, there was a decent number of security cameras but they were strategically placed in such a way that they would be just as easy to destroy without being seen as it would be for them to see you . He had always found security cameras fascinating, the way in which human's relied upon a camera to be their eyes when they couldn't watch everything. To assume that some double-A battery powered gizmo was just as effective of a guard as actual guards. Remy couldn't move himself to trust gizmos to do his job for him. In his eyes the only way you could be sure something got done right was if you did it yourself. These things were machines; the most crucial advantage human's had over machines would be that like Remy human beings could be unpredictable. Now to be fair Remy and others like him might have certain added advantages, but that was another story all together.

Remy couldn't help but actually admire the beauty of the building as he scoped out the schematics from what he could see. It was a fairly large building with art dispersed as far as the eye could see. Hundreds of canvases on which the souls of artists were poured, true emotions expressed in a way in which only an artist would understand. Remy considered alot of what he did as art, performance, expression. How could one win a game of Texas hold'em against world champions unless one had the art of misdirection, molding the emotions of one's opponent around the base of what you want them to do? If you didn't have that then you didn't have anything. If he had the choice he would come here every day, perhaps if things went well he would. After all it wasn't like he was assigned to steal all the pieces of art in the museum, only one and he had a very liberal amount of time in which to do this. Today had been really dubbed a planning day, but Remy had rejected any proposed help from his cousin as well as the 'planning day', no he would get what he needed today.

Remy brushed past a small group of men who were leaving the museum loudly talking about something about surrealism and the applicability to modern times. He couldn't help but scoff a little, couldn't people just appreciate art for art without trying to over analyze everything. A can of soup on a pedestal could be the essence of the modern world being sucked into an infinite abyss of loneliness and postmodernism, or it could be a freaking can of Campbell’s on a pillar. He felt that sometimes you could look at a painting just by looking at it, not trying to tear through the painting to find out what's hidden underneath, the hidden agenda that art must have to be relevant. Painter's didn't always paint to explain the tortured souls of man, sometimes they just wanted to make a pretty painting, it was the people who placed their own whiney little lives into the equation thinking 'how does this painting help me'. Well besides this annoyance Remy now had an extra wallet and a pocket watch both of which he shoved into a hidden pocket should he ever be searched as a suspect.

Remy turned his head and raised his eyebrow as his eye made it back to the group of students who had been trailing behind him as he made his way into the museum. They must be here for some kind of field trip he figured, unless they were just a bunch of teens who loved museums. The latter would certainly be less likely, not much appreciation for art could be seen in Remy's generation, but he couldn't completely blame them either, with some artists painting commercial crap like cartoon mice and frogs riding in carriages to appeal to the senile old lady , and sickeningly suburban family art market. Remy searched around the crowd discretely while pretending to look at art. Looked like a pretty good looking group of kids, apparently they were holding up somewhere nice, probably a boarding school or some crap like that. Remy had lived in nice places, in New Orleans, and even here his apartment was decent, but he had always worked to a certain degree to get it. He wasn't handed things unless he convinced someone to do the giving. His eyes stopped upon a particularly interesting individual within the group.

There was a girl who seemed to be about from what he could guess five and a half feet, he was usually pretty spot on with his profiling, you had to be in his profession even if it was just something silly like height. Probably over one hundred pounds, 115 maybe. What caught his attention though was more than just the fact that she was absolutely smoking hot, which she absolutely was, but she had a spirit about her. He hadn't even met the girl and he could feel that he would enjoy her company very much. Maybe it was the way she carried herself, or the tattoo's which could still be seen on her arms. He chuckled to himself at this tattooed girl all glammed up, not to a ridiculous level but he could tell she wasn't exactly her most comfortable in that outfit. Still what a hot little fille attrayante *. Remy didn't need to look at his watch to know that he could definitely fit this girl into his schedule. Of course should he talk to her he would need to refrain from mentioning his powers, she would probably just laugh it off but you could never be too careful with people, he had learned that the hard way. Remy pulled out a card from his coat collar, one of the many places he hid cards just in case of emergencies. Good, the queen of hearts, he thought. Remy wrote a small message on the card which said 'meet me behind the Dali exhibit alone in ten'. He then made his way not towards the group directly but discretely around and past dazzler, she would certainly notice him as he brushed past her, but he wasn't conspicuous enough to draw too much attention from the others, slipping the card into dazzler's hand smoothly and quickly.

He then continued to walk towards the Dali exhibit with a small smirk on his face. This was always the fun part of field trips, meeting the local flavor of individual. To be fair Remy didn't know this girl, and as much as he could profile someone he could never be completely sure who they were or what their personality was. For all he knew this girl would be utterly appalled by the stranger handing her a card. Course Remy didn't look particularly creepy; in fact he was pretty darn cute and rugged. He was always prepared to defend himself however just in case something got taken the wrong way and the group of guys showed up to 'teach him a lesson'. It just so happened he knew how to defend himself with Savate martial arts so should that be the case he was fairly well prepared to handle it. Remy made his way down the hallways into the Dali exhibit, seeing his target framed and ready for the taking. But not now, instead he slipped behind the exhibit to a small alcove which had apparently once been used for staff coffee but now instead was particularly barren except for a couch and a small coffee table. And of course it wasn't like he was desperate, he would leave shortly after ten minutes if she didn't show up, just seemed she would be fun.

(OCC: I know its not very long just to get it rolling for me again. If I'm still messed-up tell me.)

Not realizing the students were behind him Kyle made his way into the Main Hall. He paused at the door after realizing the large amounts of people there were. “This was a really bad idea on my part.” Looking around the surroundings trying to not freak out and moved towards a bench and sat down looking for the others know they were already inside.

This was Kyle’s becoming overwhelmed in here, because he wasn’t comfortable with it. Kyle tried not to be noticed, but kept a close eye on the students he was responsible for. Over at the Cafeteria Kyle spotted Warren, Scott and Ororo. Kyle moved up from his seat to meet up with the others to figure out how things would work. “Oh I can just picture now it if they know what I have to deal with. They would just walk all over me” Quickly he put on his sunglasses, and made his way towards the three..

The pained look on the young womans face was blatantly obvious as Kitty grabbed hold of her sleeve and dragged her over to the boys. Biting into her lower lip she stifled the embarrassed giggle that threatened to break free at any moment as Scott completely didn't get what Kitty meant and rambled on about the museum, the green haired girl just nodded along.

“Yeah... totally what I was thinking...” She nodded along, flicking her eyes between the darker haired male and the fascia of their destination. As the boys ascended the stairs ahead of the female pair, Lorna closed her eyes tightly and elbowed Kitty in the side, leaning in closer to whisper in her ear “What did you do that for? I looked so stupid... he didn't even notice me...”

Crossing her arms tightly around her midriff she bounced up the stairs and into the entrance hall, nibbling softly at the skin around her nail beds as she followed everyone into the cafeteria... just grabbing herself a mocha with whipped cream, she needed the pick me up. She waited and sat herself down with her new found friend, stirring the plastic spoon slowly in her liquid breakfast.
