OOC rules Forum/Chat: -Respect others opinions, and please don’t flame them for that, it shows poor character, and poor characters gets you into places that threaten survivability within this game, seeing as if there is enough of a problem with a single user, mod’s will take action. -Feel free to put in ideas on the forums, or to the mod’s, anything to make the RP a better place is great. It is only with many minds that we may improve this game for everyone, since it is always better to draw from a pool of ideas rather then just a select few. -Spam is horrible in either place, and can get you reprimanded. -Mod’s are the law. We reserve the right to accept and remove characters, change any and all rules as we see fit, and punish those who break these rules accordingly. It makes us sound tough be we are all softies, just don’t make us mad or we get a little green. Character/IC rules: -All characters must be approved by at least 2/4 moderators. In the situation that there is a tie, we will look to the no’s to see if edits can be made to sway one of them to approve the character. He simply strive that you make the best character you can, not the most deadly, but the most interesting. WE love diversity here, and hate seeing carbon copies. -All players applying with their first character can be at best have a Beta level and a suggested 7-8 AT BEST. The only way around this is if you are vouched for by a mod, in which said mod will need to inform us with there acceptence of the character. After we have seen the first character in action feel free to apply at a higher level. -Character limit is three to a person, no more then that. You will have to remove a character from your roster if you wish to take another that surpasses these limits. There is no limit saying they have to be cannon or original. -Please we want at least 4 lines of text per post and some good grammar folks, it makes things easier for everyone in the game to read, understand, and interact. This is just a standard made that improves game quality, and ensures that we are all on the same page when it comes to IC matters. -Please take thing seriously, this RP is meant to have some base of seriousness to it, and isn’t for a bunch of people to just run around, make out, and do it while the world blows up around them, so take not of the ‘political’ aspect of it all. -Recognize the world around you. If the Mansion blows up you can’t really ignore that if you are an X-men or student there now can you? If aliens are invading I’m sure you’ll see them and can’t just ignore that. -Please inform us if you are not going to be able to join us for some time. Especially if you are using a cannon character, since after a certain amount of time the character will be cleared and made open for another player to take again. This is less likely to happen with good reasons behind your absence. -You can control ONLY your character, UNLESS you have permission from another. No mind jacking people’s bodies or any of that hoo-ha to control characters that aren’t yours without permission, as stated, unless it is with consent of the character you want to control. -Play smart, interact, just don’t mindlessly slaughter. Characters that are only good for fighting and fail to be of any use in any of the other aspects of the RP are annoying and will be put on the chopping block. Balance please, it makes things more approachable! -Fighting/Death rules are handled below. Fighting/Death rules: -First and foremost is to play fair. Don’t auto-hit or instant, and don’t use attacks that ‘guarantee’ that the opponent will go down. All characters have a chance to fight back even if its things like telepath versus non-telepath, its just better odds for the telepath. So take and give hits fairly enough, and remember, you decide the damage taken. (This is all out the window if you agree IC about the auto and such.) -Division of powers. Just because you can totally annihilate someone with your powers doesn’t mean you have too, in fact it might things more fun if you didn’t try to epically one hit your opponent. -Death. Death is a factor, and can only happen in one of three ways. The characters fighting both agree and are willing to accept such (Death of a character in this manner always ensures that you will be welcomed to make another). Plot progression by a single player or collaboration, such as a mysterious murder in the night not actually played out (This allows you too, to make another character). And third and final is mod intervention. Either you are no longer benefiting if not hurting the RP, or you are way out of line when fighting. (This method does not earn you much favour to come back.) In short, for this third option, we the staff smite your character, kill them, remove them from existance. -No God Modding or meta-gaming please, it just annoys other players. -Don’t kill a character for nothing, murder will be taken seriously in this, characters will be hit hard, and it won’t be just a butcher and bolt so that you can make a new character Edited by PhilosophersVoice, Jan 31 2008, 01:28 AM.
