WWE will turn John Cena heel, just probably not anytime soon. Former WWE creative team writer, David Lagana, expressed this a few weeks ago. The reason they have never pulled the trigger with the guy is because the universal opinion on the matter is that when he does turn heel, that's it, he'll be staying heel. It won't be a six month turn or anything like that. It's going to last for a long time, until shortly before the end of his career when he'll go back to baby face in order to get the cheerful send off. Is there a chance he'll be turning heel for this WrestleMania feud? Always a possibility, but very very doubtful.

People will already be watching the match, the outcome has no influence.
