So... what keeps you guys motivated to do things? Now, this isn't a Naru-is-emo thread, but rather about productivity. It's gone down the shitter really. What made me concerned is that I stayed up until 4AM last night writing a 3 page paper due that morning, just three fucking pages! I didn't get shit done during the summer either. I haven't exercised in 2 months, I've stopped learning how to play the guitar, I only managed to get to chapter 3 of Catch-22, I never finished a song on Fruity Loops, I'm too lazy to get my driver's license, (I didn't pick up women), and the list goes on. I think I know why I've turned into an unproductive spic. Unlike the past, it's not really about self-esteem. I'm pretty confident and optimistic about most things. The thing is, I like trying out new things, and when I get the hang of them, I simply look for other things to try out. Also, my body's reward system is fucked up. I don't like punishing myself nor do I follow checklists or set goals. It's practically nonexistent. Just typing that out makes me think I have ADHD or something. I can't stay like this for long, I know this will hurt me in the long run when shit gets real. So yeah... how do you guys get your shit done? How do I chagne my mindset? Do I need to hit up Kreay Kreay for baggie full of Adderalls? |

The key for me is making sure I get the appropriate distractions in life in that enable me to do the important shit. But for me, getting girls and reading books are two of the distractions I depend on... But yeah I struggle with these things too. Last year I left a lot of my college work until the last minute. |

I am rarely motivated to do things. I too kept my uni work until last minute. If I'd have any motivation I would have done a million times better. |

Took me a while to actually make this topic really Oh yeah Fruity Loops is pretty easy, equalizing and mastering the shit seems hard though, you gotta know your soundwaves and stuff |

So i'm thinking about going back to school, uni that is. I have to pass a admissions test in order to get in though. I don't make enough money right now, i work hard but don't get the wages i feel are fair for the amount of work i put in. Also i have a steady 16 hr p. week contract being a money collector for Brink's armoured car services. At first this was no problem there was plenty of work and i usually put in 40, and atleast 32 hrs p. week. Right now with the recession and there being a smaller cashflow cause of modernization, i've been putting in 24 hrs p. week at times. That's not the biggest problem though i don't see myself doing manual labour or - with all due respect - mind numbing work, i classify this job as such. So i want to go back to school, don't know wether it'll be fulltime with a job on the side to make ends meet. Or the other way around obviously. |
