ESPN will air its first ever playoff game this season, a Wild Card game in January 2015. ESPN is becoming the big dog in football: with the College playoffs wrapped up and now a piece of the NFL playoff pie. What'e next, the Superbowl? |

I don't like it. Cable only is bad for ratings and bad for peeps without cable the NFL knows this.

I think that rule may be changing. ESPN has NCAA football wrapped up tight (including 95% of the bowls and all of the playoffs) and they are both making a killing. Most of the best shows on TV are on cable now too. The playing field is leveling between OTA & cable. |
