Alex Rodriguez, of the NY Yankees, was suspended for 211 games by MLB for alleged use of performance enhancing drugs, along with 12 other players. Johhny "Football" Manziel, QB of the Texas A&M Aggies and current Heisman trophy winner, is being investigated for selling signed memorabilia, a violation of the NCAA's amateur rules. Which is the bigger deal? Not just which violation was worse, but which has a bigger effect of their sport? I've go t my thoughts on both, but I want to hear others' opinions. |

Manziel should have waited. But he really only hurt himself in the long run, financially. He did something that he could have waited to do legitimately. A-Rod's actions reflect behavior that no athlete or fan should support, amateur or professional. The MLB record book has become tainted, regardless of the tight grip that is kept on the key to the Hall of Fame door. |
