Holland shocks the world and beats Brazil, 2-1. Uruguay needs penalty shots to put away Ghana. Well, no African teams left, and Brazil blew the chance of an all South American semis. I'm looking forward to Germany-Argentina tomorrow. In other news, I just heard on the radio that England will keep their coach. Good idea for 3 lions? |

I'm catching up here! Capello is a top manager, no one in that locker room could keep all those egos in check. I root USA first, England second. I'm always pulling for the English squad to win other than a few weeks ago, obviously. The Premier League is so great to watch, but the excuses about the season is too long, etc., is just troublesome to me. Yes, it is the birthplace of football/soccer. They live and breathe football. Unlike England though, the USA played their hearts out, every match, sort of like a team in the NCAA basketball tournament. Play it like it's your last one. Brazil and Argentina are out in the quarterfinals. Unbelievable. This World Cup is something else! |

I'm delighted for the Dutch! Although I dont particularly like Mark Van Bommel and his aggressive style. Should have been sent off for a foul on a Uruguayan Player right before the first Dutch Goal. Anyways my support will be for Holland, they deserve to have won a world cup. I think the Germans will progress (although I fully accept that I may be totally wrong here!!) |

Spain pulls the upset! LINK Maybe they were inspired by the crazy Italian fan running onto the pitch with his vuvuzela. LINK LOL I'm with you, Ger, I'm pulling for the Dutch. Although alot of people might think we've seen the best game already in the Germany-Spain match. Edited by nolanbuc, Jul 8 2010, 06:07 PM.
