I'll bet the Irish are secretly enjoying the French meltdown.

Is the USA warming up to the beautiful game? --> U.S. vs Slovenia draws record ESPN households I will say this, the US team needs to send that ref from Mali a fruit basket. People who don't even like soccer are talking all about how the team was robbed and getting interested in the World Cup drama. Edited by nolanbuc, Jun 21 2010, 07:24 AM.

Wel, one thing is certain, we will have a different World Cup champion this year. 2006 champs Italy and runners-up France both out in group play. That's never happened before.--->LINK |

Well, the US team got out-hustled and out-played, they can't blame this one on the refs. I hate to say it, but Ghana deserved to win. Now we can go back to not caring about soccer for the next 4 years. LOL Edited by nolanbuc, Jun 26 2010, 05:10 PM.

Well, the run for the US is over after a 2-1 loss today. They really have nothing to be ashamed of. They can hold their head high. They have brought US soccer to respectability on the world stage. |
