Steelers coach doesn't trust the defense

...says that's why they tried the onside kick Sunday. I know you can tell when a coach doesn't trust his defense in a tight spot (Belicheck), but a coach coming out and saying it is odd. :unsure:

You need to listen to some of Jim Zorn's after game pressers LOL! Did you see that swinging gate play before half time Monday night? WTF? Kick the field goal moron!

I liked the move when I saw it

a) it gives a chance of getting the onside kick no matter how small the percentage is

b) if your defense is not stopping them and your offense is moving the ball , then it shortens the field giving them less time to score and leaving you more time

c)after a couple first downs , Green Bay was already in field goal range meaning if they had to they'd kick a field goal instead of going into 4th down mode


The first Cowboys/ Giants game was a perfect example where the Cowboys kicked it deep with 3 minutes left, Giants used all the time cameback and kicked a field goal (cowboys also didn't help themselves they way they used their time outs)
