Yeah I was wondering why the third party canidate wasn't in the poll. And I believe that we are alowed to think of may it be biased or even misjudged. Palin wouldn't be president but IF McCain died... then we would have Sarah palin to deal with. I didn't intentionally imply that he didn't know what he was talking about. I was talking about how his age is going to catch up with him. As I've heard on the news "We don't want a third Bush".

A third party isn't in the poll because they're not a viable choice. Only time they ever stood a chance was a hundred years ago with Theodore Roosevelt.

And how is McCain 'a third Bush'? I have heard this statement a hundred times from Obama supporters, yet have never got an actual answer when I questioned them. Is it because he's a Republican and votes along Republican lines? Enough about his age too. President Reagan was elected to office when he was 70, wound up becoming arguably the greatest modern president (though there hasn't been much competition)

How is it not bush's third term... :X
mccain will

1. extend the bush tax cuts (to the rich)
2. Continue to distance ourselves from world leaders
3. Continue the failed effort in iraq.
4. Continue to do nothing for the economy

obama ftw :D

You fail to show how it would be a third term. He obviously shares some of the same values because they're both Republicans. Heck, these policies are nearly the same throughout Washington. Senator Obama shares many of the same policies as the Bush Administration, including views on domestic policy and social reform. Do you wonder why his voting record has also not been exposed?

See, I don't pretend that Sen. McCain is the perfect candidate. He isn't, and nor is Sen. Obama. The problem is that the majority of democrats do believe that he is. The general population has fallen right into the media's hand. There are too many uninformed people making their decision based on ideas that lack substance, and they're too caught up in emotion. No one is looking at the facts. Anyone want to take a shot at the last time that happened in history?

And no, I'm not making a comparison between the two. Just trying to make the point of the foolishness of citizens in times of need.

And to show that I'm not one sided, here is why somebody is voting for McCain:

EDIT: Because somehow this had been misread twice, the quotations are not my beliefs.

"if someone can HONESTLY change my mind, i would vote for the better man. i have a set of morals that i stand by, and mccain is closer to them than obama.

-40 million babies have died since roe v. wade. mccain is at least willing to lower that number. obama, not so much.
-marriage is between one man and one woman. it states it in the bible and thats the way it has to be.
-The divorce rate is 51 percent. thats absolutely despicable.
-Sexual immorality is running rampid and has to stop.
-and some liberals have been trying to shut down types of freedom of speech. this will ruin our country.

obama could win, because morally our nation is just messed up."

Complete fallacies. I'll address this point by point.
-I'm pro-choice
-Separation of Church and State. Religion should have no part in the federal/state definition of marriage.
-Who cares?
-Who cares?
-Not true. Both parties have tried to cancel each other out over the years.

I don't see Obama winning as a showing of how bad this countries morality is. :coffee2:

Little Bill O'reilly here. Lmao, jk.

Ok, I'm an Obama supporter. Now you said "marriage is between one man and one woman. it states it in the bible and thats the way it has to be." Now, would you rather two men and women who don't love each other to marry because "It's in the bible"? Now I'm not jumping on you, but it's the truth. You also say the divorce rate is despicable. Don't you think that if two men or two women love each other, they have the right to spend their lives with each other? Maybe if this were the case everywhere, that despicable divorce rate would go down some.

You also say "Liberals are trying to shut down freedom of speech." What liberals? This is exactly the kind of view Bill O'reilly would have. Clearly, conservatives are trying to take the right of marriage away. I'm so tired of hearing "It's in the bible." Can you tell me where exactly in the bible it is? IF you can, I'll hear you out. Otherwise, don't give me that conservative BS.

Finally, how could you POSSIBLY say that Obama doesn't care about the Premature deaths of babies? When did he EVER say he wouldn't help, and more importantly, when did McCain say he would? I'm sorry, but that is just silly.

Also, How about nobody jumps on Obama for his race and religion? Then, maybe people will stop making jokes about McCain.

As far as Reagan being the best modern president, Bill Clinton. That's all I'll say.

Sorry to jump on you, but I felt like voicing that.

Did you even read my post? The quotation isn't from me.

And in regards to Bill Clinton being a greater president then Reagan... They both did well in office, but lets look at what Reagan did in office:

-Brought an end to the Cold War, but if not that alone...
-Country was at peace while he served.
-Inherited the office after the Carter debacle, had more of an uphill battle.
-Changed the face of modern economy.
-Represented America in a greater fashion. Even though democrats like to pretend having an affair in office doesn't matter, it does. Does it mean Clinton was a bad president? No. It was a shot at his character. Did he deserve the call for impeachment? For the affair, NO. I don't believe it was a governmental matter. The problem people have is lying under oath.

I see all of your points and I know what you mean when you say one man isn't going to fix the world. That is soo true. Also to the point that neither canidate is perfect. That is true. I was wondering though why when I stated the Gay marriage and abortion people put me down but when Halo said it, it is accepted. On that topic you said that the bible ruled marriage. If the bible ruled us then we would go back to the times before free-religion. We all know what that turned into. We would be ruled by the church!
