Sunkist,
While i respect your right to an opinion, i find i have to disagree.

you say yourself, violence is an ongoing problem, leading me to believe you do not condone it. yet sex has always been a part of life, and always will be, whatever your opinions on the act itself or where it should take place.
why should people become desensitized to something we all recognize as wrong and unnecessary, as opposed to something that is not only beneficial to us as a global society, but also believed to be beneficial to us on an individual level?

something you said that i strongly disagree with is that we should learn to co-exist with violence. to do that is to accept it as is, and to not make any efforts to reduce it. while i know that it will always be impossible to eradicate any trace of violence off the face of the earth, this does not mean i believe we should learn to accept it and go on with our lives.
there is always something that can be done, i believe. we should be doing all we can to make sure that children are free to grow up and lead successful lives, not stand by and watch as more and more die, impassively, because it is an ongoing problem with which we should learn to coexist, or because one's afraid of their masculinity being threatened.

i'm sorry that its unacceptable to you, that people are becoming more open with sexuality, yet i still fail to see how it is a problem at all... but one comparable to the desensitization toward violence? not quite catching on.
