OOC: Any ThunderClan cats that want to join me in RP are welcome. X3 IC: Nightstar decided that she would do some hunting. After she left the camp, she snuffled the air, and then turned to the east, padding further into the forest. As she treked through the undergrowth, light raindrops began to fall from the sky, which had been grey with clouds all day. "Great..." she muttered. "That'll wash the scent of the prey away..." Eventually, she found herself among the pine trees that mixed with the usual deciduous oaks, m |

Dracoclaw padded into the pine and deciduous oaks with a mouse in his jaws. "Hey Nightstar," Dracoclaw said, after putting down his mouse. |

Nightstar decided that she'd resume her hunt, since she'd had a decent rest. She padded smoothly out of the camp feeling the warm sun on her dark fur, as the clouds had cleared up. I'm glad that I'm not a WindClan cat, she thought to herself. Or not living with WindClan, anyways. The sun would be beating down on my coat all day, and I would burn up with my black fur... here in the forest we have some shade... Eventually, Nightstar reached the area that she had been previously hunting at. She was surprised to see Dracoclaw in the thin forest. "Hello," she replied to his greeting. "Been hunting?" She scented the clearing herself, mouth open to better taste the air. She could scent a vole scurrying around, and she slowly paced towards it, padding lightly on her feet... |

"Yeah," replied Dracoclaw as he scented for anything else to catch. He scented mouse and vole, but it was to mingled to tell where they were. |

OOC: Draco, your RP posts should be much longer than that... ![]() IC: "Great," Nightstar mumbled as she stalked up to the vole. With a quick, deliberate pounce she leapt towards the prey, nipping it delicately at the vital vein in the back of its neck. Picking up the struggling creature, she held it until its lifeblood had drained to the point where it went limp. She then walked back to where Dracoclaw was sniffing around. "Don't worry if the prey's hard to find," she told him. "Remember, rain can easily wash away scents, and it just cleared up a bit ago." Then, she shook her head. "Why am I saying that to you? You're not an apprentice anymore. I guess that it's just hard to forget for me, since I mentored you." She laughed, and then smiled (at least, as much as a cat can). "I suppose I'll leave you to your hunting... unless you want to come with me," she told him. "I'll probably be heading along towards the western part of the territory next, and I'll be checking up on the border by ShadowClan while I"m at it." |

"Sure," Dracoclaw said, burying his prey. "It might be easier to catch some prey over there." |

Nodding, Nightstar turned, abruptly padding westward. "Well, I'm going, I think. If you're done hunting here, come on. If not, you can meet me there, I suppose." Yawning, the black cat looked skyward again, wondering just what StarClan's warriors might be doing while the sun was up. The stars shone at night, sure, one for each of the deceased cats, but in the day when there were no stars? Perhaps they were hunting, sleeping, or doing whatever normal cats did? |

Dracoclaw followed Nightstar, still scenting for prey. Dracoclaw wondered if anything will happen at the border. |
