A slight twist of fate… Tiberius White passed up and down his hotel room. Never had he been tense before an event. WARPED 24 would be his first ever tag team match. White had always worried about being placed in a team. He struggled to comprehend the fact he might just have to rely on someone else to have his back when all these years he’s been his own support base. But the fact of the matter is as followed: he has lost his last two matches. White began to second guess himself. He knew he could beat Sean Edmonds, but as long as that human paraquat mistress Karla stood by Edmonds side, it wouldn’t be easy. Once again, it was a very rare occasion Tiberius White would ever have any sort of doubt run through his mind, but, as they say, it is the emotion of doubt that makes us human. White sat upon the brown couch situated in the middle of his one bed hotel room. It was a tiny, prison cell- like dump. Who would have thought a place called ‘The Palace’ would be anything but… oh the irony. Below his feet sat worn wooden planks. Each step inside the room would let loose a rather irritating creak. The walls were possibly once a nice bright white, but now have slowly deteriorated to a slimy yellow color; God knows what blood, sweat and piss has been spilt upon them. But the creaky floor boards and the slimy yellow walls Tiberius could handle… it was the smell that aggravated him the most. Odors of cigarette smoke (White was strictly a non smoker) piss and rain all meshed into one bundle to create such a fowl stench that White had to open every window inside the small, crap-shack known as ‘The Palace’. White picked up some papers off the rotten coffee table in front of him and began reading silently to himself… ‘male…25…from New York…11 years experience…’ The profile of Rico Calle is nothing short of impressive, but not enough for Tiberius White to feel secure about teaming with him. There was a reason he’s a loner of sorts… As a child he was always competing with his brother. Growing up in the arid land of Bethany does things to a child. He and his brother Boris would often compete for their fathers love. As typical as that may sound, it was something of violent proportions. Boris and White would frequently engage in full fledged fist fights, often beating one another to a bloody pulp in the process; their father Victor did not fathom what was soon to be a deathly consequence this sibling rivalry would bring. The two boys were competing as usual, this time the steaks were higher…much higher. Boris had convinced Tiberius to come with him and check out their next door neighbor’s house. They entered in search for their neighbors riches. He was a merchant by trade, and a rather prosperous one at that. As they broke through the window, Boris took a sly turn and struck Tiberius down with a rock he had kept in his nap sack. Tiberius was dazed, but luckily conscious. Boris was determined to end Tiberius’s life, even if it meant risking his own. Boris pulled out a flask of oil (also stored in his nap sack) and began pouring it upon the wooden planks below, then following up with a box of matches. He retrieved a match and sparked it up; and, with a sickening laugh, dropped it to the floor and watched the house ignite into a fiery Hell for Tiberius and Boris suffer a painful fate. As Boris strafed towards the window they’d previously broken, he was met with a sudden take down from his brother. Tiberius began sending a flurry of fists at his brother, totally disregarding the rising flames surrounding him. For those watching outside, it was a site they’d never forget. The building collapsed, the fire had eaten away at every last bit until it was nothing but rubble and ash. Their parents rushed over, thinking they’d see the merchants vaporized remains. What they saw however was completely and utterly heart-wrenching… A bloody Tiberius White stumble out of the ashes. No one will ever be able to explain how he survived, but it was the beginning of a dark and ritualistic future for Tiberius White… but that’s another story for another day. *Ring ring…ring ring* White’s phone rang. ‘Hello?’ He asked… he was not used to receiving phone calls. ‘Yes… we are teaming together.’ He stood up from the couch. His tag partner Rico Calle had called him… ‘Edmonds and Cohen will lose... Edmonds time and time again has used his typical cheap tactics to pick up a win… I will not let it happen this time. Cohen is nothing but a cocky Jewish child who will learn the hard way to respect his elders…’ He pauses for a brief moment… ‘That Wench Karla won’t interfere…and if she does, I’ll dispose of her myself’ ‘I want to be the one to pin Edmonds and show him that no matter how hard he tries, escape artists never die!’ After yet another brief pause, White laughs… this was probably the only time anyone will hear his rough, discreet laughter. ‘Edmonds is more hated than I thought; looks like he’ll be in for a surprise.’ ‘I’ll bring the rope. Have a good night.’ He hung up. White left the lounge room and entered the bedroom. Whatever plans he and Calle were up to… it looked like Sean Edmonds and Craig Cohen are in for a rather interesting surprise… Just wanted to apologize to Rico, Edmonds, Cohen and mostly Joey for posting after the deadline again. I'm sorry for fucking things up and will make sure that once I get my Laptop things will change dramatically! Regards, JDM |
