Reboot the router and get a new ip if you have dynamic ip. http://whatismyipaddress.com/change-ip loads of info there Edited by Farmertaff, Jul 7 2012, 09:26 PM.

power off the router wait a few hours if its dynamic someone else might be given the ip then you will get another one, i think when you get an ip its yours for x amount of hours. i dont know about skype but are you sure thats where they got the ip from theres plenty of ways to get someones ip. you could just tell them to phone there isp and ask them for a new ip or if they can block the ip thats causing all the traffic |

In some routers, you have to "release IP" and then "Renew IP" that would release the ip lease he currently has; then obtain a new one from his ISP. Good luck! Edited by Crashbash96, Jul 8 2012, 09:13 PM.

tell your m8 to get a new skype account aswell or the person doing it will just get the ip again, they only need the name of the person to get the ip and the person getting sent the message/call or any request doesn't need to do anything to give the ip away, they just need to be logged in.
