Internet Explorer and Google Chrome not working

My IE and Google chrome won't open up, if i click on them they show the box around the symbol at the bottom of the screen (Windows 7), but then it goes away and wont open up.

However Firefox is working for me, but I don't really like it, any help?

best bet is to restart your machine, and if that dosen't work uninstall and then reinstall the programs.

This happened on my dad's new laptop; Unfortunately I don't know how it was fixed. I'll ask my cousin, as he is a programmer/ITT person.

How don't you like firefox??? :O

And CCleaner cleans up your PC and fixes problems (no virusses)

If im not allowed to say that, let a forummod edit this post :P

only thing i can thik off is if there is already one running in the process window and holding you from opening new ones, not really into windows 7 though. Since you got net on firefox how about typing your problem into say google, sometimes the results can be very helpful.
