When I try to re-install the latest version of java, it downloads fine, and when the installer starts it says " This software has already been installed on this computer. Would you like to re-install?" I click yes, then it proceeds to say " This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I have NO versions of java on my system, no registry, no program files. Ive tried the manual installer, and the online installation, both say the same thing. Ive checked the reg files, none. Any ideas guys? |

What Operating System are you running? If you are running Vista or Windows 7, make sure no Java files are in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ (shouldn't be, but you just never know sometimes) Try http://majorgeeks.com/Revo_Uninstaller_d5706.html or http://raproducts.org/javara.html to completely remove Java. |

When I ran the Revo Uninstaller it still came up with the "this file does not exist therefore it cant be uninstalled" message. |
