Sunday, 12th July. 7:00am GMT Hello members of Vision, I (Slowhand) have decided to Close Vision, not soley based on activity, but RL problems. I have no time to run Vision and it needs 100% attention, something which I cannot do. I recently went on holiday and got back last night..... Vision has had a good run, there was ups and downs, and there was alot of good times. I will miss all the staff who commited to Vision, and I would like to thank them all for their efforts and accomplishments towards Vision. Angie, Sis, it was always great to work with you, I thought the events of Mokata would pull people apart from communication, but we stuck together. I am glad to have worked with you on all projects. Axo, You da man! , Again, We never saw eye to eye at Mokata when I was Admin......but when I was promoted at IR to Design Team, I changed and we got to know each other pretty well. Thanks for the good times dude! Cloud, My bitch <3 Driver, Will miss you too <3 , Keep on post whoring and keep the Legacy of the driver alive! Former staff would like to say a few words... -- Alizee's Message "Bye Vision, love SH, Axo, Cloudkipz and everyone else xx" Driver's Message This is it, the run from a board that was suppose to hold the genre up during it's run and more important prove that even though IR had closed, the same actions could be replicated through to a new board. However, the same vibe and concept was removed from this board and instead of having a fun, light-hearted community, we were instead left with a board that focused way to much on appearance and talking words about what we think we might do and how we might do it. There are points to be made from this and Corpora may have summed up a majority of it during his posts throughout the run of Vision. So instead of leaving with something inspirational or mind boggling, i shall simply leave with what everyone is thinking.... Game Over Axonite's Message Im actually not sure where to start when written this, where do you start? I have had one hell of a journey on forums and there is nothing that i regret.. I have meet some really great people in my 6 years of foruming and im glad that i had the pleasure of meeting them. My journey started when i joined a mates board which was on Invisionfree it was called Define Myth it only had around 100 members and all those was members of a chat forum called Lycos, the board was about mythology and then random things.. After that had closed i asked my mate how he made the forum and he redirected me to Invisionfree. I then registered with IF and created a general chat board called don't laugh at the name, i was 13 at the time lol Mysterious-World it lasted 5-6 months before i changed it to a advertising board because i come across a forum called Echo EarthQuake and then Advertisement Centre which both gave me the inspiration to create Limited Results which soon had a name change to Unlimited Results. Unlimited Results lasted around a year and soon closed when myself and the other staff decided to create a board on Zetaboards, We then created Infinite Results which was the first free advertisement and resource board on zetaboards and in 6 months it had over 50.000 posts and 500 members around there It done really well and i was very proud of that board, it had grown for a newbie board to one of the most known resource/ad boards on zetaboards. The board has plenty ups and downs, but mostly ups. But it soon died when it was cracked and deleted by someone, still don't know who and i doubt i ever will find out.. Then came along vision and well here we are now. As you can see i have had my fair share of forums and none of which i regret making as i have a lot of good memories with all of them. When Infinite Results was cracked and deleted, so was i, i just didn't have that energy to rebuild a new forum, get a good community, staff team and do well like i did on IR, its just to much work and it took us over a year to get IR where it was and i just cant do it again. I have lost all faith, energy and commitment in forums, When i first started foruming it was really fun, we all had a laugh and back then there was more competition and yet it was still fun, the members was fun. Now well its all pretty much changed and feels like its all gone down the drain. The intire concept of foruming has been killed out, not foruming in general but in this tight nit community also know as the snowglobe. Im not going to go into that as well its my opinion and im sure it would just get slated, but the few people i have spoke to that used to be found on forums have also said that the reason for leaving forums is because of the snowglobe and how serious things are taken.. Now im not saying that is why im leaving as its not, but it is part. The main reason for me leaving is because i have major real life problems going on atm and i need to sort them out. Plus i just don't have the time nor the energy for forums anymore, like i said above when IR died my foruming died does that make sense? :s I would like to thank everyone that i have got the chance to talk to, work with and also everyone who joined any of my forums because without a lot of you IR nor Vision would be here and i probably wouldn't be here still. But there are some i would like to give a special thanks to.. Jenny - I know you won't read this as well your don't visit forums anymore but thanks alot, you helped me overcome a few problems with IR and also helped me out alot. Not to mention the fact that you was great to talk to and i probably shared alot of things with you then i have with anyone else. Angie - My wife, aww im going to miss you alot, When i joined Mokata i didn't think nor expect that i would make such a great friend in someone and i did. Im so glad you became admin at Vision because it gave you that chance to prove to mole that you would of made a good admin for mokata and you have so unlucky him and lucky me... Slowhand - I know when we first meet we didn't see eye to eye, but as time passed and we got to know each other abit more we soon saw eye to eye. I actually looked up to you when you was admin of mokata as you was the only one who actually done something and you put the other admins to shame.. So glad i got the chance to work with you.. Dakota & Beaumont - The all boy staff team on IR, good days eh?? lol it was fun and i enjoyed it alot, both of you helped me out alot with IR and other things so thanks. Mrs Dougs also known as Driver - My spamming buddy, okay so you finally got to be on top and higher then me in posts, so congrats lol.. Your random and annoying at times but i really couldn't imagine you any other way. Nicola - One of few people i have meet via foruming that i could actually have a adult convo with and one that wasn't about foruming 50% of the time. It was nice to have someone that i could talk to about things other then foruming as well after a few hours of talking about forums it gets pretty annoying lol so thanks and for also giving me alot of advice on many things, don't ever change for anyone.. I could go on and on with listing people and giving them a small special mention, however if i was to do that then i would be here all night.. So ill just list the names now, so thanks to the below people for helping me out with things, being there to talk to and just being them. Scotty Lokyr Lenny Ant/Render Viral Alexis Vocal Chris Echo Mini Woof Cloud There are many more but i just cba to list them all, so thanks to everyone basically as you have made my foruming time great, even those that i don't get on with, without those it wouldn't give it that extra spark . So im out of here, Not going to say that im not coming back as well foruming does get quite addictive however i wont be coming back any time soon and i probably wont ever work at or create a forum again.. Once again thanks to everyone that i have known while foruming you have all made this foruming experience fun. Even you, BZ, Jason, Corpa & Lithium.
