| Warm, soothing goo surrounds your body. It's so hard to move, and impossible to think. You may not realize it yet, but you have been selected for the Crew of the Vesmir. Oh, sure, you may not be capable of anything good or wholesome, and fine, you not even know what space is, but that doesn't matter to your moon-sized captor. You have been chosen, stolen from the only home you have known, and are now forced to suffer the indignities only a ship of kobolds can provide. Perhaps it's not as serious as all that. Somewhere between the crystal spheres and the endless void of space drifts a giant, living, silent ship. The Vesmir. Home. Once you log in, this annoying block of text goes away: |

The kitchen is about 20 feet wide, and including the freezer, is about 60 feet long. The freezer is a 20x20 square at the back. This sparse crew room is lined with cabinets, counters, and appliances of various stages of function. The walls are a dull gray metal, and the cabinets are sturdily made with handles. A few seem to be a bit loose on their hinges. Two broken tables and a few broken chairs lay across the ground. The lights turn on automatically when someone enters. The cabinets line the walls and floor. They are large with several shelves in each. For the most part, they contain nothing but dust. There is a counter that runs down both sides of the room, a hard material that could have easily been used as a cutting board in addition to a counter space. There is one stove, close to the door, that is missing the burners and the door to the oven. The top's hard surface, complete with little reddish nubs where the burners would have been fitted. Halfway down the room there is a dispenser set at adult chest level. It appears to have once had a face plate, but the dust tells that it has been missing for a long time. There is a space below the flacid, pink, phallic dispenser that could accommodate a bowl. There are four nipple-like buttons to the side of that space. Each one is labeled in the ship's tongue: ON, SALTY, SWEET, and SAVORY. When ON is pressed, a gloopy gruel comes out with a texture and taste similar to that of soupy plain oatmeal. SWEET tastes a little like honeyed oats. SALTY has a ramen like flavor, and it is definitely salty. SAVORY tastes a little like a meaty porridge. Each one looks just a little different; plain is light in color, sweet is more orange, salty is brownish, and savory looks just a touch red. The door to the freezer is wide and thick, with a dusty round porthole that allows you to look in. Inside, there is a 5 foot tall deep freezer, built into the wall. There is a ladder to reach above the deep freezer, onto the lofted space above. Shelves are built into the walls. It's darker, in here; no light has been yet found. There is enough space to hold enough food to feed the crew for months. In total, there are three bowls, two broken tables, 6 broken chairs, one mug marked 'SHIP'S BEST ENGINEER' in Vesmir's choppy lettering, 34 spoons made of various metals and plastics, and one bushel of weird rubbery feeling purple and green.. fruit? that remains in the freezer. |
