Warm, soothing goo surrounds your body. It's so hard to move, and impossible to think. You may not realize it yet, but you have been selected for the Crew of the Vesmir.

Oh, sure, you may not be capable of anything good or wholesome, and fine, you not even know what space is, but that doesn't matter to your moon-sized captor. You have been chosen, stolen from the only home you have known, and are now forced to suffer the indignities only a ship of kobolds can provide.

Perhaps it's not as serious as all that.

Somewhere between the crystal spheres and the endless void of space drifts a giant, living, silent ship. The Vesmir. Home.

Name: Ysabelle Sinclair. Prefers to be called "Bell"
Race/Specie/Ethnicity/Bloodline/Beinghood: Of the New York Sinclairs
Age/DOB: 6 3/8
Gender: Female
Home Planet: Upstate New York

Height: 3'10"
Weight/Shape: Child shaped, a bit skinny for her age, but not conspicuously so
Hair/Scales/Plumage/Dangly Parts: Completely black hair, falling just below her waist
Eyes or other important sensory apparati: Brown. Two of them.
Skin: Pale, just shy of looking genuinely sickly
Blood Type: A
Other Important Features: A handful of scars and welts in typically well-concealed locations, the result of some remarkably tough love. She also has an “imaginary” bear named Mr Mercury that follows her around, but you'd be hard pressed to actually see him.

Physical Description: For the most part, Bell looks like an ordinary six year old child. She looks most at home in a frilly, colorful dress, but never the same one for very long. Her hair is dark black, and left to its own devices it would be perfectly straight. More often than not, though, it's been forcibly curled and stuffed with ribbons.

She has a small birthmark just below her left shoulder blade.

There is a smattering of scars and bruises running down her back, and creeping onto her arms. They are small and few enough that they could easily be overlooked, but she still favors long sleeves regardless of the weather. Talking to to invisible bears is not something that good little girls do in polite company, and Bell's parents are not the type to spare or spoil.

Bell speaks with a crisp and well-practiced faux-English accent, which is more a product of Mary Poppins than of any British lineage.

Personality: Bell is remarkably polite around adults, and you would have to be pretty sharp to notice the spooked look in her eye. On her own, she will keep to herself as much as possible, as she would much rather talk to Mr Mercury than anyone her own age. She is very patient with adults who choose to be patronizing to her, but unless her parents are present, she is more likely to humor them than take them seriously.

The only person(animal) that she trusts and is Mr Mercury, who takes excellent care of her. Mr Mercury is far more real to her than the humans around her, and despite severe efforts to curb this behavior, she will still frequently speak to him as though they were alone, regardless of the circumstances.

She is accustomed to getting what she wants if she makes the slightest effort in getting it. She long ago realized that she can get away with almost anything, so long as she leaves Mr Mercury out of it. When she does not get her way, she will alternately scream or sulk, but tends to get over things quickly.

Likes: Very small cakes, with cleanly cut fractions of strawberries on them. Teacups, and teapots, but not tea of any kind. Animals, but only the furry kinds. Ribbons. Brightly colored dresses. Mr Mercury. Keys. Privacy.

Dislikes: Her parents. By extension, other adults, though she often hides this well. Children. Shoes. Dirt, or anything perceived as dirty.

Abilties, Powers, Skills, Weaknesses: By herself, Bell is an ordinary six year old girl, and is unlikely to win a fight with anything stronger than a harsh wind. She is very small, as is to be expected, and can fit into small places, which has become something of a hobby. She is quite adept at understanding things written and spoken (primarily in English, but she's been exposed to French and Italian to a limited extent) but tends to become confused and mixed up when trying to speak or write accurately.

Bell's “imaginary friend” Mr Mercury is, in fact, the manifestation of some deeply buried psychic abilities, of which Bell herself is completely unaware. In moments of great stress, Mr Mercury has occasionally broken or moved things, and made very unpleasant noises. Bell's refusal to take responsibility for these incidents does not endear her to the adults in her life.

She is also very slightly attuned to the minds of people around her, which allows Mr Mercury to explain concepts to her which might otherwise be too advances for someone her age. Similarly, Mr Mercury can get a pretty good sense of people's moods and intentions even when Bell cannot.

As a side effect of this, Bell can also be subject to any delusions or fantasies of people around her. When this happens, she knows that something is not right, but can still be hard pressed to separate out what is real and what is not.

Home: Pleasantville, New York. Bell lives in a moderately large house, at least for the area. She lives with both of her parents (at least when they're home), one brother (who is college age and infrequently home) and live-in help to take care of cooking and cleaning. Her family used to have more, but times are tough.

Her father is a wealthy and powerful man, but only to about 1/10 of the extent that Bell thinks he is. This is a misconception that he is in no hurry to correct.

Items: One dress, perriwinkle blue. Two white socks, with a 40% chance of shoes. Two hair ribbons and one hair clip. A picture locket with no picture in it. Clip on earrings.
