The Reflection of Perfection Posts: 107 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Oct 31, 2008	I am going to try and explain just what exactly the banning system is. To put it simple, it’s a way for moderators and admins to issue warnings or bans to users who do not follow the terms and conditions of this forum. The following can be issued by a moderator: Warnings – these carry no point value and are just a friendly reminder of the forum rules. Most of the time users will be issued a warning before an actual ban is given as we believe in giving people a fair chance. Underneath your name on a post it says your warning level, the more orange bits, the higher it is. Bans – These are more serious than a warning. Each ban given carries 25 point values and an expiry date. When a user reaches a hundred points they will be banned from the forum, currently the limit is 100 points. Different bans carry different point values and expiry times depending on the severity of the incident (see below for a list of bans, point values and time limits). In most cases a ban will clear itself after a set amount of time (some bans carry a non expiring penalty), if after clearing itself your ban points total is below the banning level your account will no longer be banned and you are welcome to return. Once a warning or ban has been issued, a PM will be sent to the user explaining why the infraction was issued, how many points it carries and how long it will stand. If you feel the ban/warning was unfair then please contact an Administrator, don’t start a public thread as it will be locked/removed. List of bans: Spammed Advertisements - Points: 50, Expiry: 10 Day(s) Insulted Other Member(s) - Points: 50, Expiry: 10 Day(s) Signature Rule Violation - Points: 25, Expiry: 5 Day(s) Inappropriate Language - Points: 75, Expiry: 1 Month(s) Advertising - Points: 50, Expiry: 10 Day(s) Inappropriate Behaviour - Points: 75, Expiry: 1 Month(s) Spamming - Points: 50, Expiry: 10 Day(s) Misc Ban - Points: 50, Expiry: 10 Day(s) Off Topic - Points: 25, Expiry: 7 Day(s) Imitating a member of staff - Points: 100, BANNED Account dupes - Points: 100, Expiry: BANNED Flaming/Racism - Points: 10, Expiry: BANNED Ad. Spam Ban - Points: 100, Expiry: BANNED Misc. Instant Ban - Points: 100, Expiry: BANNED Underage Member - Points: 75, Expiry: 30 Day(s) (Changes according to age)
