This is a thread where members of Truth Seeker can politely share their Faith Journey and the events in their life that have affected their spirituality.
Note, this is not a thread for debating whether god exists and whatnot, only sharing what you believe and how that belief that you hold came to be.

...

For me, I was born into a family that is christian and more specifically, protestant Lutheran. Nearly all of my relatives are christian as well. I don't
know what it ever was or is, but I have never been able to accept God as a real concept and have struggled to put any faith in him whatsoever. I have
tried to do so as it would be much easier for me, seeing as my entire family is christian. However I cannot believe. Over the past few years as my
knowledge of the world has grown, I have begun to feel very hypocritical whenever I walk into church and I simply go along with what everyone else does.
For me I accept the possibility of a divine power, but I believe that if there is one, it would be much unlike any that today's monotheistic religions describe.
I do not know how the world began, but I don't feel a need to know. I fail to see how God explains the origin of our world, because religion does not
explain the origin of God. So I live life normally, atheist at heart and the day I leave my parents I will no longer be a christian even though I am
confirmed in the church and still take communion. I feel complete without God in my life, I think that life is a wonderful thing that should be enjoyed while
one is blessed with it. That is certainly what I plan on doing. :)

I can't wait to hear your stories. :D

I have was bought up in a Christian family, and was taught Christian morals and beliefs from a young age. I always accepted that there was a god, but I never had any sort of relationship with Him. It was when I was about 11 at a Christian event called Soul Survivor when I really met God. We were having ministry in one of the kids groups and Jesus really touched me. I was instantly aware of Go'd love and peace. I will never forgot that moment. Later that year, I chose to get baptised and I've continued to love Jesus more and more ever since.
