At the moment, there are many animal charities which aim to raise money to help animals in difficult circumstances. While helping animals in not a bad thing, I do not like animal charities. My reasoning is that if you can give £5 to a charity, why would you choose to help dogs rather than starving children? It is fine to help animals, but I do not think it is right to give money to aid animals when there are billions of people in the world living in appalling conditions. When you give £5 ro the RSPCA to help a dog, that money could've gone to the NSPCC to help a homeless child. What are your thoughts on this?

I see mistreated animal charities' commercials on TV sometimes and they try to send you on a major guilt trip. But yeah, with people starving and struggling to fight off disease in war zones, or even in third world countries, I think it would be money better spent to help a human life. I would probably be much more likely to donate to a cause such as World Vision, as they have a huge impact around the globe and help many people with their projects, rather than a small animal charity which may not use the money to its full potential.
