I often use good(ish) grammar on the Internet. My reasoning for this is when I used to use txt spk, no-one understood what I meant. I now use full words, apostrophises, etc. However, I do not feel that language is hugely important. So long as you can get the message across, it is, in my opinion, ok. I do not want to take ages writing something with impeccable grammar if it is not needed. It is for this reason that on Instant Messenger programs, when I know the other person can understand, I will use some text speak. |
