Name Serru (AKA: Goddess of the Woods, The Doe Goddess, Guardian of Mothers) Species Goddess (Usually appears as a Satyr) Age Roughly 900. Appearance Typically Serru appears as a voluptuous Satyr woman of about five feet in height, with dark olive skin and long hair, an almost-black shade of brown. The fur on her legs is the same colour. Her hooves and nails are neatly trimmed and painted in elaborate red and gold tribal designs. She wears a red loincloth with gold trim and covers her chest with what we'll loosely refer to as a shirt - it's a red rag wrapped around her torso and tied around her neck. Her upper body appears human. Her ears are pierced with three gold rings on the upper part of each, and she wears decorative bracers - plates of gold covering the outer wrists, fine chains holding them on. In her favorite mortal disguise, she appears to be a fair, small-framed woman in a white hooded cloak, eyes always hidden, thin lips only a couple tones darker than her pale flesh. Curly blonde wisps of hair spill from her raised hood, and the ripples of the cloak give the illusion that she floats rather than walks. A bow and quiver of arrows is often strapped across her back in this form. Personality Serru is a mischievous but compassionate goddess, and is kind to mortals whether they follow her or not, so long as they respect her woods. She's quiet, observant, and often won't reveal herself for long periods of time. She's forgiving almost to a fault. History Said to have been found wandering the woods as an adolescent and claiming she's always existed. Few mortals have questioned her. Ancient tales speak of her helping those lost in the forest and guarding its borders from those who would harm it, and though she's been spotted in both Ellai'Mirr and Mervith, she's never been seen in the mostly-treeless land between the two forests. She was unseen for the majority of Man's War. She's said to have wedded several mortal Satyr lovers over her long life - staying loyal to each until their death and bearing their children, becoming a symbol of motherhood and fidelity, and most Satyrs claim to be distant relatives of her (given their rarity this may well be true). Strengths and Weaknesses A master of disguise, Serru often appears as a mortal. She has the powerful magical abilities expected of a deity, seemingly following a different set of rules than mages do. She's also physically fairly strong, and a heck of a good archer. However, she's also a little too trusting at times, and tends to think better of people than they often deserve. She's fairly shy, and will often choose to hide when she's needed the most. Edited by Sparrow, Feb 10 2012, 05:25 PM.
