I'm relatively new to the genre myself, so I'm not one to really defend it...but has anyone actually looked into the genre without letting the bullshit stereotype of Scene-sters getting in the way? I fucking hated it, untill I truly tried looking into it. I found emotion filled songs. Each, in its own way, a masterpiece. It's not bad and guess what? Not queer fucking hair. I've seen almost no one with fucking weird as hair and tight jeans and shit. They look normal, even to metal standards. I admit that even though there maybe the occasional one, but i haven't seen many. Maybe give it a try? or even respect it for what it is, and not buy into the scene bullshit that has ruined the name of an actually good genre? I'm... Well... I'll give it a try, but I doubt what you say is true. I dip my foot into this new territory with a raised eyebrow. |

It's just beyond my understanding I guess... I'm not gonna listen to all those vids, but I'm a guitarist, I like riffs and I couldn't really make out any riffs on that first song... it's like they're just strumming all the strings with distortion. Another thing is that I couldn't ever really start listening to music where they whine about their feelings and stuff like that all the time. |

I don't think you fully understand what you're saying. It seems as though you're trying to say the only emotions you can have are depression, sorrow, sadness, regret and other negative things in emo music. |
