When the Big 12 expands, so should the SEC provided it can get Oklahoma and Oklahoma State Ron Higgins SEC would look like this. West: Arkansas Mizzou Miss State Ole Miss LSU Oklahoma OK State Texas A&M East: Auburn Bama Florida Georgia South Carolina Tennessee Kentucky Candy How would you feel about this rearrangement? You would rotate and play each Western Division team every few years. It would be a difficult schedule, much like we already play every season. |

Boren has been the champion for Big12 expansion - and seems it's gonna happen. 2025 That is the target year. The Big12 will muddle along for a few more years - if the current front runners gain Power 5 membership - BYU & Houston - the pecking order will change. In this timeframe all the major players coaches will be gone, Saban, Miles, Sumlin, Ole Miss should be coming off a death penalty, Big Game Bob, Gundy more than likely. How each fare is only a guess. Houston is the one program that will take advantage of Power 5 membership - while there are many claims about areas being so called recruiting "hot beds" UH is right in the middle of one - and 5 minutes from hitting the I-10 corridor. |

That would be weird, having only 3 "long time" SEC schools in the West. Conversely, only 1 "new" (South Carolina) member in the east. I wouldn't hate it, but I think at some point conferences are going to be too big. The SEC is too big now for my taste. And Mizzou is NOT an SEC school nor team. |
