McDaniel is a late qualifier for the 2016 class, but will be counted towards the 2017 signing class numbers. |

McDaniel was chased hard by Bama and UGA since his sophomore year f high school. He was ready to commit to Bama at one point, but rumors academic problems and a massive weight gain issue pushed them all away from the table. UT continued to stick by his sideband now he is a Tennessee Volunteer. McDanile will need a year of getting into the academic side of school and a year at the training table and in the weight room. Some think he could slide inside to DT and some think he is perfect as a 3-4 DE. |

Nice offer list. This may be a steal if he works on his academic's and gets in shape. If not, he will be gone within a year. May lack discipline. |

A little light in the britches for a 3-4 DE. Sounds like a pretty good athlete that is going to end up at DT--like you said. |

Dog Mathews stated on his show today that he talked to the TN coaches yesterday afternoon and McDaniel has a good chance of getting into school buts it's not a done deal yet. Said it was about 80/20 or 85/15. He also said McDaniel weighed in around 220 this weekend so sounds like he will for sure need a redshirt year to get to SEC DE size and doubt he grows into a DT Also said what we all know in that we will take a full 25 this year as the coaches expect enough attrition to keep them under the 85. Said out of the 23 current commits, anticipate 3-5 to not be there on signing day. |

Our new compliance officer will make sure that the test$ and transcript$ are all in order, just like he did for the Crim$on Tide. |
