Four three stars out of 11. I am not sold on A. Rogers. Good list now but not great. That will be determined on how many elites he gets now to February.

I count 6 4-stars and 1 5-star. Out of 11 commits, I call it great.

Look at Amari's offer list, and it shows that many coaches of the elite programs were sold on him - including Tennessee.

The services have not made many 5 star designations thus far this year.

What's the difference how you see it now? February will give us a better idea on how Clemson is doing. I suspect it will be a good one in the class rating star system. Two and three years down the road will let us know if he was great class.

Obviously who you get on commitment day in February is more important than who you have committed now, whether it's Clemson or Tennessee. BUT, we're living in the now and I think Clemson has a great class at present. Also, how these players develop and if the schools can keep them for 3-4 years will tell the tale. BUT, generally speaking, these higher-rated classes have proven to be the better ones.

After last year's disappointing high-teen recruiting finish, Butch can't afford another class that's not a top 10 - preferably a top 5. By already losing out on several highly ranked players in his own back yard, Butch isn't starting out well. The possibility of losing out on some remaining instate players that are highly coveted does concern me. I hope we win 10-11 games and play in the SECC game and hopefully get some of these instate studs to switch their commitment.

The answer for Tennessee is winning. This has to be the year. If Tennessee had Clemson's recent record and they had ours, we would be knocking them dead on the recruiting trail. Butch is an excellent recruiter but he can only do much selling. The pressure is on this year to win but my greatest fear is injuries could derail us. Then what? A coaching change would be devastating. The Florida coach also has a problem and is in a much better state to recruit. And he won the East last year. Something is wrong there.

Butch is going to have to start winning BIG games. He is getting his rear end kicked in our home state by Dabo Sweeney and Clemson. Clemson is making a push on Trey Smith and Cade Mays-two must haves.

IMO right now it's:

Bama 1A
OSU 1B
UT 2A
Clemson2B
