http://www.sbnation.com/2016/6/22/11999912/recruiting-rankings-quality-quantity-early I'll bet many of our three stars with be upgraded to four stars. But will they really be deserving of four stars or is it part of the recruiting propaganda? |

I agree. They are outstanding recruiters. But I wonder what's going on when we get 3's and later are changed to 4's. It seems like they change a lot of 3's to 4's but don't reduce as many 4's to 3's. It seems like the whole recruiting rating world is a hoax. I am going with the coaches evaluations and hope we are not getting a lesser athlete than the Alabama's and Ohio States. |

http://247sports.com/Article/Ohio-State-Buckeyes-working-on-best-class-in-247Sports-History-45967045 We get excited when a 4 star recruit commits to us. But look at this, 8 of of the top 100 already at Ohio State. How do we compete with something like this. Rev, do you think these recruits that selected OSU are that good? |

Of course Ohio State is going to recruit blue chips ... they are considered one of the best programs in the nation right now, and top players want to play for national championship teams. This is why Clemson is so popular right now. To me, I salivate at those two five-star O-linemen. Anytime an O-lineman is rated this highly, he is special and ready to play at the collegiate level. With so many OL, they need to develop for a couple of years before they have the strength and conditioning needed to play. I don't understand why the QB committed to OSU is rated so highly. He is small, his throwing motion looks poor, he doesn't look particularly fast or elusive, and his "highlight reel" passes have great protection and open/acrobatic receivers. Maybe he is smart and accurate. |

Well, firstly we arent really competing w/ OSU currently. Maybe we will be this year, maybe not...but as of yet: we arent. Secondly: because Urban Meyer is a great coach. He has very solid schemes, motivates players well, and is a good game day coach. However, he's not all that fantastic of a disciplinarian. He lost control of the inmates @ Florida, and it's only a matter of time until he does the same @ OSU and leaves just before the dumpster fire gets lit. |

Just because he left Florida in the dumpster doesn't mean he will at OSU. He has had very few discipline problems there. My comment about competing was playing in the final four against OSU. |

Maybe not...but it's certainly strong evidence to that end. Florida's the only school he's been a HC for any length of time, he left BG and Utah after two years. He was amazing through 5 years @ Florida, then the wheels came off in year 6. We'll see what happens @ OSU in '17...but his track record for longevity at a school doesnt look too good. Urban is still Urban...recruiting undisciplined shits and not being much of a disciplinarian, and my guess is he's still looking the other way and downright covering things. Not that other coaches dont do it, he just isnt in a fishbowl on a pedestal now that he's out of the SEC. I can't wait for Lane to get that next HC gig that comes up in teh Big 10. |

As long as urbie had zooks recruits and tebow , his offense could roll. Tebow wa s not coached up at all, hence his lack of interest by the pros. |
