It's been a long time waiting. I'm sure Utah State feels the same way. You just get to a point where you're ready to play.

Our older players have done a tremendous job of mentoring our younger players. I've been pleased with this week.

He (Derek Barnett) can already do some things that no one else can, naturally. He's very talented for a freshman.

A lot of talk out there about how good Utah State is.

Utah State is returning about half of their starters. Their replacements are inexperienced and not as good out of high school as our newcomers. They did not beat any top teams in the nation a year ago.

Utah State is returning about half of their starters.
Phil Steele said that they are returning 7 starters - the lowest in the nation. Just because someone who has started in the past is starting, that doesn't count. Otherwise, we could count two of our O-linemen as returning starters.

2014 Returning Starters

Of our opponents, only Utah State and Missouri return fewer starters.
