A Very Manly Man

I didn't get to see the game as I was flying back from Las Vegas (it was work...I'm really NOT a Vegan...after 24 hours, I'm ready to get the hell out of there). It seems as if the Lady Vols underperformed out of the gate and closed strongly for all three SEC tourney games. That doesn't forebode well for the NCAA tourney as you can only do that so many times. I'm really excited at how well Harrison has developed. If Russell can develop at the same pace, we will be set at center for three more years (and they will have the same position coach...so there's a precedent here......). They both seemed a little timid their freshman seasons.....so there's hope for Mercedes!!

They have lost one time (KY) since Carter started at point. Even if Massengale gets to play again this year, I wouldn't be shocked if she's a backup, as she'll certainly take some time to get re-acclimated and Carter is a superior athlete (who will likely split time between one and two next year). I wonder what the impact would have been had we had Tucker available....she's supposed to be a really great guard....

They worked hard to come close to giving it away with 12 seconds on the clock.

Carter is the real deal. They won despite flat nose throwing bricks and turning the ball over. Kudos to Warlick. She has gotten them to a No. 1 seed most likely. Any championship at Tennessee right now is a very welcome sight.

From the games I saw, it seemed that even though they didn't seem to have a height advantage most of the time, they were definitely a better rebounding team
