If he were going to commit to Tennessee, then it would have already happened. He's just trying to milk Auburn for some more money ... |

You just broke the hearts of several 18 year old freshmen who want UT to sign TG no matter what. |

I have been saying all along this kid is trouble. Last thing we need is a problem with the NCAA. If Auburn is backing off, can you imagine how much of a problem this kid is! |

All I got to say is that if Auburn and Miami are passing on him, then the "issues" must be pretty severe. I'm surprised that UT is still recruiting him ... but, we are. I think, however, the fact that we are still recruiting him underscores the reality that he does not have an offer to come to UT as a QB. We all know that the leadership of a QB is crucial to a team, and when I read that Gibson didn't seem to support, care, or be concerned with the other teammates, then this is a red flag for a candidate QB. Not as big of an issue for a WR. But, everything I've read suggest that Gibson wants to be a QB. So, there will be a program that will give him that chance. It just isn't going to be UT. After visiting with Urban and the Ohio State Nuts for their Friday Night Lights, Gibson now says that they are his latest favorite candy ... this circus will be going on for a while.

Ole Nibs on TOS (OSU fan) was just posting about 2-3 weeks ago how UT needed to stay clear of Gibson because he was .....TROUBLE. Said there was a reason Urban 'I've never met a thug I wouldn't take' Meyer hadn't called Gibson and Gibson wasn't even taking a visit to OSU. Some of us laughed and said Urban Cryer would take him in a nano second if he thought he could help them win games. Low and behold, Gibson is up there this weekend... Gibson tweeted that "Ohio State University is my current leader! My list isn't changing anymore." With all respect, the word "current" implies that something may change .... so his statement is a bit contradictory. I will also now officially lower my probability of Gibson to Tennessee from 2% to 1%. The more I read about Gibson and from Gibson, the more convinced I am that he will never be a major college QB. He just doesn't seem to have the composure and mentality that is needed ... things may change, but he's got too much "me" in his MEssage. Edited by OrangeRev, Jul 26 2014, 03:48 PM.

I haven't heard anything negative about his grades. His only problem has been (a) not a team player and (b) conflict with teachers and teammates. |

TG is still keeping Oklahoma and Arizona in the mix, so that he can at least put a couple of other hats on the table. |
