He is a QB, who I could really get excited about transferring here.

spitting image of G. Gilbert - big arm, questionable decision making. IIRC he has 3 years to play - guessing a mid major program, al la Gilbert.

I heard he has 2 years to play and can transfer anywhere ala Russell Wilson because he is due to Graduate this spring. If that is true he doesn't NEED to transfer down in order to play.

^^ This is true. He can go to any program he wishes, and enroll in graduate school.

Compare the #'s R. Wilson @ NCSU vs Wittek @ USC...

IIRC - Wilson was a good player @ NCSU as a starter?

Doesn't NEED to go to a mid major - where he would have a shot at starting, vs the gamble he is better than what is already on campus. What little I've seen of his work to date - he'd fit in to an offense much like what Gundy and his crowd run this days..

Addendum - just checked 2 years 600 yards 3 tds - 6 ints. - Now, Butch, et al could possibly turn that around over the summer and into the fall - maybe.

He's not going to come to UT ... he will be looking for a program with low QB competition where he has a near-guaranteed start for two years beginning in 2014.

e.g. Louisville or Florida

UF, much like Tennessee doesn't *need* a QB like a Wittek - with the type of offense UF will be running this year. With a half assed offense Muschamp can survive.
