In league play, Tennessee boasts the best scoring defense in the conference, holding SEC opponents to just 58.0 points per game.
Kentucky, meanwhile, owns the best scoring offense in league play, averaging 80.3 points in SEC action.
Also in SEC play, Kentucky (+15.7) and Tennessee (+11.7) rank first and second, respectively in rebounding margin. The Cats lead the league in rebounding (45.0 rpg), and the Vols lead the league in rebounding defense (27.7 rpg).
For each of the last seven meetings in this series, the team that wins the rebounding battle has won the game.

As we all know too well, Maymon and Stokes often struggle when facing taller, shot blocking post players. Cauley-Stein is one of the best at defending the low post in college basketball. Need desparately to get him into early foul trouble. Also, must defend the southpaw with the smooth 3 point stroke. Vols had better be hitting from the outside and feed the rock to McRae. I don't think Kensucky has anyone who can defend him one on one, but then they might use a mixture of zones. Limit the turnovers, total has gone way up since league play started. The great Calicheater has not forgotten the 30 point butt kicking he got in Knoxville last year.

This game is not going to pleasant to watch. We are not built to face taller players in the post. This could get ugly. Even if McRae is hitting, he will need help form the outside.

If we do hit well enough outside to force UK into a zone, then our bigs can be a force inside on rebounds. But then UK will go back to man defense. Out big guys have to be active today.

We blew a 9 pointy lead and trail by two at the half. Randall is a stud.

Maymon is so frustrating. He has been playing old on defense, but he tries to do way too much offensively and turns the val over or misses layups.

Stokes is the man down low today.

Cuozno packing it in has been effective, but Harrison has been hitting the trey. They will have to devise something to pack it in but watch Harrison.

Cuonzo using his entire bench today. Pops can body up on the UK bigs. Moore has been a big plus today. If he could ever develop and have confidence in a jump shot, he would be very dangerous.

Have to play hard and smarter in the 2nd half.

I thought that we played our butts off. Cuonzo had a great game plan. We just did not have answer to stop this NBA team. The officiating was the normal "All calls for UK at Rupp" officials.

Grown men with talent should beat teenagers.

Those teenagers all are good enough to play in the NBA.

No doubt that we missed too many easy lay ups and free throws. We had our chances.
