Team At A Crossroads Without A Captain

This team is at a crossroads and it appears to be without a captain to lead, teach, and motivate this team in the cords of a game.

Cuonzo has crossed that threshold in my mind. He has lost me, just as Dooley lost me in the Mizzou game in the 2012 season. I have reached a point where I do not believe that Cuonzo Martin is the answer.

I honestly do want to see Hart pursue Bruce Pearl. It may not happen, but I would like t see an effort to improve this program and it is falling further and further behind.

Over rated frontline. Lack of enthusiasm. They are going nowhere. Not much positive. A coaching search will probably start next year.

A Very Manly Man

something's missing....there's no fire or passion....as I stated after utep, the clock is ticking and unless we make one hell of a run in the SEC....it's time to move on.....

It is being reported that Cuonzo refuses to recruit a player who is committed to another school. If Gus Mahlzon had taken that approach with Davonte Lambert, Lambert would be a Tennessee Volunteer this morning.

Reporters asked him in his radio post-game presser if he had given more thought to going to a 4 guard line-up and play an up-tempo game. Martin said that he had but that Stokes and Maymon don't get up and down floor well.

Anyone else see the problem?

Did Hart hire Dave Serrano?
Serrano was hired just before Hart was hired. The interim AD -- Joan Cronin -- hired Serrano from what I recall. Though I think it was a formality as to who did the hiring, as Serrano was the odds-on favorite for the job.

You are absolutely right, big Joan made the hire. I think Serrano gets it going this season. He loves Tennessee, won't ever forget the story about him bringing his family from the airport to take a walk in the dark at the baseball stadium.
