You can bet that he will not add much to the content on the LHN in the form of interviews.

If Golden gets the Penn State job, look for Miami to hire Jimmy Franks.

Is Mack Brown leaving ESPN? IMO ESPN is very happy with their product - adding Charlie Strong doesn't in any way change the way ESPN operates.

Now, what UTA now has a major "foot print" in Florida.. Strong will continue to recruit Florida - and having ESPN/LHN as an additional recruiting tool is a major advantage. Guessing here the Metroplex will enjoy having Strong in Austin - as well as the GHA - and being a country boy - the Piney Woods and the I-10 corridor will welcome him with open arms..

Now, granted having Tim Tebow the face of the soon to be launched SEC Network has its own advantages.

Charlie Strong may be the most indecisive coach in the country.

The recruiting budget for Texas should be the lowest in the nation. Give me the metroplex, Houston area, Longview, San A and I'll give you the rest of the country.

Jimmy Franks will interview with Penn State on Sunday.

Penn State would be foolish to not hire the guy. He is going to knock his interview out of the park.

He would easily own recruiting in Maryland, Pennsylvania, new Jersey, New York, and into Ohio and Virginia.

It's about his wife. She's pursuing a career as singer/actress in the exploding Louisville entertainment industry.

(For those who have yet to have their full pot of coffee, the above statement is a play off Tee Martin's wife ... a joke).

Louisville is pursuing David Cutcliffe to replace Strong.
In my mind, Cutcliffe will only leave Duke when he retires from coaching.

Ummm ... Texie? I guess you haven't watched a Charlie Strong press conference.

If some some reason X school made a move and hired you a job that would put your smiling face in front of 15 million fans of UTA.

Three things to help you along a) Bellmont, b) the communications school at UTA, c) ESPN

The "press conferences" Strong needs to do well in, IMO, take place with the recruits, families of recruits and high school head coaches. Again, as far as ESPN/Austin is concerned - where is Mack Brown going? They fire him, he quit what happened? ESPN/Austin will be just fine adding Charlie "TexasStrong" Strong to their lineup.

Now, recruiting - look at the states Strong grabbed kids from - IIRC UL has kids from Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana.

Anyway - its all about coaching - the last time a Big 12 school hired a former Florida DC as their HC - well it turned out okay.

It has never been a huge expense - as they've been very selective as to the numbers of kids they recruit. We'll get to sit back and see if the fear the folks in B/CS have concerning the LHN is factual.

Now, the BCBC, even though Strong wasn't their choice, won't hesitate to toss in a few dollars here and there to get Strong to the state of Florida, early and often.
