Wait ... if Saban, Fisher, Dantonio, Shaw, Briles and Mora have all turned down Texas, does this leave Strong and Franklin as the leading candidates for Texas?

Sounds like the Penn State job is either Jimmy Franks or Al Golden's.

Munch was never going to be the coach at Penn State. He's spent 30 years with the Oilers/Titans and never once coach in college. |

Footballscoop (which usually has more reliable info than the other scoop) is saying that the Texas job is down to Franklin and Strong, and that an announcement is expected in 24 hours. Between those two, I think James Franklin is about to get a big promotion. Also, Canesport is reporting that Al Golden has been offered the Penn State job. Gotta figure Franklin has to get one of those two jobs. I was hoping he would get the PSU job. |

It's being twittered everywhere ... Strong lost his meal ticket at Louisville. He was the coach that I wanted at Tennessee, but I'm content with Jones. |

Most of us did not want Strong.to be coach at Tennessee. I still feel that way. It will be interesting to see if he can handle the pressures that are unique to Texas. |
