It has been several days since his firing ... one would think that there would be more smoke here if there was interest. |

Rich Bisaccia (current Dallas ST coordinator) is interviewing for the head coach position at Washington. Remember that circus when Dooley was trying to get him to Tennessee as ST coordinator, but he couldn't get out of his contract with the Chargers? |

Wasn't a great year for the Big 12 - OU down, Texas, the same, Okie Lite about the same, KSU about the same. FWIW - Baylor did a 41-12 on Oklahoma.. Alabama is liable to hang 75 on OU in the Sugar bowl. Big Game Bob getting bitch slapped by a crummy Mack Brown coached team, then pile drived by the Bears - and now having to play Alabama in another "big game". |

Munchak meets with Titan brass today to find out fate. He has been with Oilers/Titans as a player, coach, HC for decades and is thought well of by Adams family. I don't have a feel how it will go. |

He is checking into every job out there per Hubbs. I don't blame him. Matthews is gone (he saved Vandy's arse too many times), rape case pending and Butch seems to be more of a factor in state than we have been in some time. Vandy is having trouble getting 2015 recruits interested per Hubbs. |

Dantonio is the the best fit at Texas--proven winner, good recruiter, excellent game day coach. I would back up the brinks truck to his house and ask him, "How much?" More coaches are staying put if happy and enjoying where they are--see David Shaw and Mike Riley. |

According the #1 guy in the BCBC - speaking from his own perspective and the money to back it up - John Gruden is the quote "best fit" for UTA. *If* one were to opt for a "best fit" @ UTA - #1 on the list would be Kliff Kingsbury. A high school legend just down the road from Austin, a QB without any NFL talent - that after a damned great career running the Pirates offense out in Lubbock - spent time as an NFL player - then started a nice coaching career - excellent QB coach, a hell of a gifted play caller/offensive coordinator - and a nice 8 win season as a HC would fit that "best fit" model to a tee. Hell, Kingsbury is nothing more than a clone of Steve Spurrier. |

Latest word at Texas is Jim Mora. Fits the Texas mold set by the hire of Mack Brown. Outsider, young, smart, and his best coaching years ahead of him. Word is that Jimmy Franks is atop the Penn State list of coaches. |

Word I read out of LA is Mora is going anywhere. Bruce Feldman @ BFeldmanCBS6m # UCLA coach Jim Mora withdrew from considerations for # Texas vacancy. Was never offered the job, per source. Mora's family loves LA set-up Edited by Tnphil, Jan 3 2014, 01:09 PM.
