Hubbs (Volquest) just said that James Franklin is inquiring at multiple jobs in college and the NFL. Although there is not much momentum with Texas, Franklin could be high on the list at PSU if O'Brien goes back to the NFL ... and before you all start with the "[fill in the blank] would never hire anyone who covered up a rape" argument, there just isn't anything there except in the minds of Franklin haters.

The Penn State jobs Mike Munchak's to take, if BoB leaves for the NFL.

I would find it difficult for Penn State to hire Jimmy Franks because of the Vandy rape case cloud over Franklin's head and because of Penn State's situation.

Jimmy Franks knows that he can not continue to use smoke and mirrors and generate success at Vandy. He has taken that program about as high as he can take it. His demand will never be higher.

The Texans and Bill O'Brien are reportedly working towards a deal.

Well Bill O'Brien is NFL bound.

Will Penn State choose a coach from the college ranks or will Mike Munchak get the job?

Munchie wasn't fired ... I don't think he would consider stepping over to the college level. I think James Franklin is more of a candidate than him.

Apparently the Penn State job is not a piece of cake and their program and athletic depratment are a real mess and a source of frustration.

Munch has not been fired nor has he been given the okay to return. Don't be surprised to see him in the mmix.

Munch will not be the next coach at Penn State.

Reports are that Greg Schiano is Penn State's primary target.

That's what a lot of folks are saying......And a lot on the Penn State board are wanting Pecker-Head Franklin.

Sounding like Franklin may be NFL bound. Haslam reportedly has a deal to bring Jim Schwartz in as the Browns' DC. He wants a NFL experienced DC with head coachinging experience because he plans on hiring a college guy as his HC.

Wouldn't surprise me if he went to the NFL

Deer Park on VC posted today there is a zero chance Franklin will be at Vandy by the end of next week. If he knows what he's talking about....that's pretty strong.
