Some folks are asking, where does Tee Martin go since the USC staff has been let go? After the way that he used UT and Butch to get a free ticket home to only watch his son play basketball and then crap on UT, Who cares or gives a damn? |

What still perplexes me is why we don't rename that street ... do we see Fulmer or Manning or Majors or Summitt do ANYTHING other than pour their lives into the University? They continue to demonstrate why they are honored ... they are Vols for Life, and not Vols for 4 years. Bruce Pearl is more of a VFL than Tee Martin. |

Once you have made the commitment, it is pretty hard to change. We would look hypocritical. It should not have been done in the first place. We have found out that several players are not loyal to Tennessee. They need to develop loyalty after they graduate and sustain it. I agree with your premise but it is not practical. |

Yeah, but Joe Paterno's name certainly disappeared from Penn State after it was discovered what he did, simply because it reflects poorly on the university. I'm wondering if Chamiqua Holdsclaw's street isn't renamed soon because of her issues. |

I'm not sure she is in the same category as Joe. But it is an example why we should wait longer before naming anything after some athlete. |

Tee got a street largely because of political correctness to be honest. That said though, he's probably still my favorite player of all time. I'd probably trade Bjackian for him straight up right now...but that's not so much about Martin I guess... |

Tee will land a job somewhere, he's got a good track record as a wr coach and he's a good recruiter, from what I understand. But he won't be at Tennessee, those jobs are filled. Coaching is a profession and just because you are an alumni at a school, doesn't mean that's the best job for you. I don't hold anything against Tee for interviewing at Tennessee. I suspect Butch Jones was happy when Tee turned him down. He was just being politically correct to retain Jay Graham and to interview Tee, both valued Vol alumni. But they weren't his first picks for those jobs and he went on to land his first choice for those jobs. We ended up good in the end. |
