Scott is the No. 11 RB in the nation on ESPNU Recruiting. He is No. 17 on Scout. Here's their evaluation:
STRENGTHS
Elusiveness
Foot Quickness
Vision
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
Power
Scott is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. His quick feet and great vision make him a nightmare for defenders in the open field. Scott runs well inside the tackles and on the perimeter. He shows great balance and is an instinctive runner. Scott also catches the ball well out of the backfield. Overall, he is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the country. - Michael Clark

We will see him playing both at RB and in the slot. I would venture to say we will see him running the "Great Scott!!! Package", formally known as the Pig Package.

A Very Manly Man

This is a good grab, as we really needed some quality depth at running back. He had a great game to win the State AAA Title against a very good Concord team.

Color him Big Orange. Huge steal for Jones and Gillespie. Robert Gillespie is now already more successful as a recruiter at UT than Jay Graham ever was! Sweet to beat out the Gayturds too!

Graham had a pretty big albatross around his neck.

I haven't heard the interview, but someone just said that Scott said in the interview that USC led until Jones came for his in-home, and Spurrier couldn't change him the next day. Wow ... Jones is money.

Very well spoken young man.

As much as I like Jaken Hurd, I like Derrell Scott as much. Thunder and Lightning.

Tux.....if Paulk will get healthy IMO we will have the best 3 RBs we've had on the hill in a long, long time.
