First, let's take a look at a change to the NCAA rules last year whereby a 5-7 team can go to a bowl: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8228544/ncaa-new-bowl-game-tiebreakers-include-fcs-wins-5-7-teams Second, there's this: @VolRumorMill: Apparently there are some strange circumstances that may allow the Vols to get in a bowl game if Auburn can make the title game. Buckle up. Third, after having a schedule that had us playing #3 Auburn, #4 Alabama, #5 Missouri, #8 USC, #12 Oregon, and #22 Georgia ... well, I think we deserve this Mr. Irrelevant prize ... not for the game, but for the practice. ![]() Edited by OrangeRev, Dec 2 2013, 11:40 AM.
