They have to get off to a quick start. Ina close game, I like Tennessee. I think Tennessee will beat them by two touchdowns.

Yep ... I changed the title for him.
I must have been influencing Tux, because I thought Vandy would open as 3 point favorites.

I think Tennessee will win, simply because of the Seniors wanting this game and leading.

"In terms of just general prep this week, the biggest theme has been Jones' intense focus and preparation. This is a game of great magnitude for Jones, and though always intense he's reached a new peak in the past couple of weeks. Post-practice speeches, pre-practice speeches, in-practice speeches, they've all been designed with a singular focus of getting his Tennessee team dialed in for this Vanderbilt contest.

And the Vols, several have told us, have had really good practices this week --- all the way back to Sunday's work when players reported back after the open date break. While Jones has been extremely intense, he has not been uptight. This appears to be a loose, determined Tennessee team ready for a huge moment on Saturday night. This is a State-ment game; Jones wants his Vols taking back the state.

Everyone feels the open date came at a great time. There's also some real happiness with the commitment that the players have shown. Last Thursday, the team was suppoed to meet and have a weight workout. But Jones elected to take his team to the movies. Sunday, the weight room was open incase anyone wanted to work out. Nearly 80 players worked out on Sunday before the team returned to the practice field on Monday for a heavier work load than other Mondays have been.

And on Monday, the players were all early for team meeting. That has been a staple for this team this fall and is one of the reasons head coach Butch Jones says he's never been more encouraged than he is right now."

By the way, reports are out that #2 TE Branisel was injured on Wednesday is is unavailable for Vandy ... which means we drop then down to our #3 TE, Stocsill (a walk-on).

And, yes Warner, the volleyball player is down even further on the depth chart .... I'm not even sure he is as high as #4. He will be no higher than #6 on the depth chart next year after Wolf, Creamer, and Helm are aboard (all three are EE's).

That said, I hope he doesn't eat a scholarship slot in 2014.
