#Vols WR target Dominique Booth postponing decision. RT @mbooth27: @D1Bound721 will not be having a press conference or committing Friday.
Apparently Booth wants to enjoy the experience more.

Some folks on another UT board want us to believe that Booth was turned down by the staff and forced to come to camp to earn his scholarship.

This staff knows his abilities and talent, as they have been recruiting him hard for 3 years. They know what he can do. It is why they have tried to get him to UT.

This kid has visited the UT campus at least twice in the past 3 months.

This kid is one of the top 10 WRs in the nation an has 30 major offers including Alabama, UT, and Florida State. You do not turn down a commitment to force such a talent to come to camp in order to take his commitment.

I am hearing that Booth will likely commit to Butch Jones sometime this weekend.

It seems as though Josh Malone is not interested or the Vols just can not wait for him.

FYI, Booth recently underwent surgery on his foot. He had a bad case of turf toe, so he could come out of the gates slow this season, but he is correcting his ailments before he gets to college.

"Dominique Booth and his fellow seniors from Pike High School will all be in Knoxville Friday to take part in camp as well as listen to several Tennessee coaches talk to the student-athletes about leadership.

Like the other two, he's also thought of Tennessee as his favorite for a long time now and this weekend presents another opportunity to commit to the Vols."

Fast, physical receiver. Picked UT from over 25 offers including Alabama, Fla. St. Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

We probably do not get Josh Malone. Booth is a nice get no matter what.

Booth has always been a productive and competitive kid. He's a sure handed kid, who, despite not being 6'3-6'4, plays a physical game. He's strong, has good weight on him already and uses his strength and aggression to keep defenders from getting their hands on him.He has shown good ability to make catches in traffic and has also demonstrated good route running skills throughout his high school career. As far as areas of improvement, there are no glaring weaknesses with Booth. As stated previously, he's not 6'4, he's not a 4.3 guy, so the measurables may not be as eye-popping as some of the receivers listed above him, but he has demonstrated throughout his career that he has good skills for the position and also the competitive nature and desire to play the game at a high level.

The Volunteers have a great class of playmakers on offense and Booth fits right in with that. He's not a one trick pony. We've seen him get down field and we've seen him be effective underneath. He, to me, will be a really good slot early in his career because he's strong, sure handed and tough and I see that being his role early on as he develops into an outside guy.

"Booth's strength is also the trait that probably keeps the buzz on him down: he is relentlessly consistent. Booth is not a 'wow' receiver; he is a possession receiver who runs crisp routes, catches the passes he should, has decent quickness and agility and is strong enough to handle cornerbacks who try to jam him at the line of scrimmage.

"Physically he looks like a slot receiver, but his game is suited to play on the outside. I expect him to get on a college campus and be a favorite of his quarterbacks because he will always be where they expect him to be."

Booth de-commtted tonight.

There has been a lot of talk about him possibly being recruited over with Malone possibly coming in.

I wish him well. He is a good kid and fine player.

Does this mean the staff believes Malone is a Vol?

There's no connection between Booth and Malone, from what I can tell.

But, with UGA apparently out of the picture, I feel much better about Malone. Clemson is a threat, but they are a little late, it seems. Most every analyst at this point has got Malone to UT, though a couple have said Malone has still not decided ... so it's not a lock.
