"With Jackson, it's a now or never deal. The Vols will have this opportunity to impress him enough to get him back out on an official visit. Jackson has always seemed intrigued with Tennessee and this will be the Vols' chance to validate they can help him both on the football field and on the track.

He's very fond of Florida and Florida State, but the Vols have their opportunity this weekend and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say coming out of his visit."

Jackson is a difference maker and has to be one of the top players on our list of team wants.

Jamie Newberg 'I don't know Adoree Jackson. My guys out west swear that UT is lying the weeds for him. He goes to one of 3 SEC schools.'

I'm not goning to hold my breath or get my expectations set on him signing with UT, but he would make this class even more awesome if he did sing with the Vols.

Adam Gorney (Rivals recruiting analyst) posted two things with regard to Adoree:

1. Anyone forecasting him anywhere is 100% guessing. Neither he nor his family is giving hints. However ...
2. The two biggest factors in his decision making process: (a) a good relationship with coaches and (b) the parents are pushing very hard for him to attend a major college that is as close as possible to East St Louis.

Item (a) seems to go against Muschamp and Florida, and (b) seems to go against Sark and USC. Both seem to point favorably toward Tennessee. He went on to say that despite (b) seemingly ruling out USC, that Sark is taking great strides to push this issue aside, attempting to convince the parents that Adoree will be well taken care of at USC. Unfortunately for Sark, I think the days of providing free housing are over at USC ... otherwise he could just move the entire Jackson family out to California.

(Because of the weak track program at Tennessee, I still believe that he will pick either USC or Florida, however).

Seems to me that he (Adoree) is more concerned with making the Olympics than whether or not the school he picks will compete for the NCAA title in track. I don't see that as a big problem and maybe the track coaches made a good impression when they went to East St. Louis with Butch and company.

Although Florida and USC have had much more success with Olympic athletes, none of the jump coaches at the three schools - Adoree's event is the long jump - has coached an Olympic jumper. If there's a difference, the jumps coach at Tennessee (Jerome Romain) is the only one of the three jumps coaches that has actually been to the Olympics - he was a finalist in the triple jump.
