"I just feel comfortable here overall. The coaching staff is like family to me. I've known them since I was a little kid. So, we've just got a close connection," Mouhon said.

"I remember when coach Strip came in my house for my brother I remember trying to impress him by working out in front of him. I was just curling a dumbbell," Mouhon said. "I remember him saying to me, 'I'll be back for you one day.' And now it's crazy he's recruiting me with the whole staff."

"Like I said, If I were to have a top five Tennessee would be at the top right now," Mouhon said. "I want to wait because I want to take my officials, but if I do commit early, it would be some time during the middle of my season," Mouhon said.

"They just told me to be comfortable. They told me I can commit right now or you can wait, but if you found a place you already like you might as well just commit," Mouhon noted.

Vols lead for Mouhon and are thought to lead for Mclisse, and Bates. That would be one hell of a linebacker pull.

There is a rumor floating around that linebacker Kevin Mouhon is tired of the recruiting process and is ready to pull the trigger. Some folks believe Tennessee leads here. He visited Notre Dame the first week of June.

I saw that too. He would be a big commitment to go along with Dillon Bates who is expected to commit July 3rd.

"Kevin Mouhon is scheduled to be in on Saturday and will stay until the end of Foundation Day on Sunday and like Gaulden, Tennessee has long been the leader here and he told Volquest just a few weeks ago the recruiting process is wearing on him.

Mouhon has known Jones and his staff for several years now, since his brother was recruited to Cincinnati, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Mouhon finally pulled the trigger this weekend to Tennessee."

But, but, I thought David Poe Lock said that Helen Richt had shut the boarder down between Tennessee and Jawja. We may be looking at the best linebacker recruiting class in the country.

And, given our putrid linebacker recruiting over the last few years, even with this LB haul, our depth at linebacker may still be suspect.

Johnson and Maggitt were recruited in the Class of 2011. Frankly, I'm not ready to call Christian Harris and Kenny Bynum putrid at this point in time. To each his own I guess.

I don't know recruiting like all of you do, but Mouhon looks like a tampa-2 MLB. He gets back into coverage about as well as I have ever seen a HS kid get. He can really move and will be a good replacement for Johnson, hopefully.

@KMooMoo48: I've decided that the University Of Tennessee is not for me and I'll be attending college somewhere else =)

There is more to this than just simply considering another school ... to go from where he was a couple of months ago to "not even visiting or considering" tells me that something happened on Tennessee's side.

Either he isn't making the grades in high school or he was told that his scholarship is not available.

There are whispers that the coaches stopped following up on him. I don't know if there is any truth to that.

As Rev has stated, we have to make room to sign this class and we are over the limit.
