Alvin Kamara says that he will visit UT. He likes what he has been told what the role if RB in BJ's offense is.

Alabama is recruiting him to play RB/Slot WR and they may not have room for him.

Sounding like Derrick Green may be Michigan bound and we will not get an OV. It is also sounding like Carl Lawson may be stucking with Cow College. However, it sounds like Reuban Foster will not attend Auburn.

We may be back in on Frank Herron. Reortedly, he is not happy with the number of DEs that LSU is taking in this class.

Per VQ--Kamara's girlfriend goes to Bammer and he really likes UGA. Says he will visit. If he does, we have a chance.

In those two scenarios, AK sits 2-3 years minimum at Alabama before he even gets a carry. Go to UGA and he sits a minimum of 2 years before he gets a carry.

I know that these recruits believe in their abilities and are not afraid of competition. They believe that they are superman. However, the coaches routinely roll with the the experienced guys that they know will produce and have produced. Both of those two schools are loaded with sure fire NFL backs.

At UT, he will see the field from day one, playing against the same teams and the level of competition.

Girlfriends in from high school, rarely last in college and is a poor reason to attend a school. At least that is my experience.

What your saying is absolutely true. The problem with 18 year old kids, too many base their decisions on emotions. Lets keep our fingers crossed that he will think with his head.

#Vols and #Michigan seemed to spend a lot of time with Derrick Green in lobby.
Many believe that Green has made up his mind.

The Vols are talking to Florida State commitment John Franklin III out of Plantation, FL. JF3 plays QB but is being recruited by most teams as an athlete. He wants to play QB in college but most HS QBs who complete only 42% of their passes do not play QB at the next level.

He wants to see what Tennessee has to offer. 4.38 athletes do not grow on tress in Tennessee.

Actually, chances are if he goes to UGA the 4 guys in front of him will be thrown off the team for rules violations, and he'll play a ton as a true freshman.

Statistically speaking, anyway.

2012

Alabama - T.J. Yeldon

UGa - the twins

Texas A&M - Trey Williams

LSU - J. Hills

Coaches - routinely roll out true freshmen at RB.

An update on Carl Lawson......

Rodney Garner visited his dad, but did not meet with Lawson. Many believe that the Vols are in good shape and think that Lawson will play for a coach who did not offer him. LSU is working hard to get a visit, Ole Miss is fading.

Hopefully he will pull the trigger soon.

Saw a post somewhere that said Constantine Ritzmann sez that Vols have a legitimate shot here. I would sure use the specter of NCAA sanctions against the Barners if I were recruiting Lawson.

Thought this was interesting, but CBj hand writes letters to them after the visits, despite folks in the recruiting office telling him he doesn't have to. He also connects with each of them one last time before they leave, just to remind them how much he wants them to come to Tennessee, etc.

The actual OV sounds neat, with jerseys of all the Tennessee first round daft choices laid out in the locker room, with jerseys for the recruits laid out next to the ones they are most similar to.

Anyway, sounds like CBJ pulls out all the stops for these guys. If we can make a bowl game next year and put an end to the negativity around the program, CBJ may have the talent to pull a top 10 or even top 5 class in the near future.
Nice touch on the uniforms in the locker room.

BJ knows how to recruit but he doesn't need negative headlines like Adams put out today when all these recruits are in town. Once he starts winning, I think BJ will recruit a whole roster of top players to Tennessee.

They had a poll on KNS asking which position was most important this year in recruiting. The offensive line was dead last. Now how could people not think that's important when everyone we got, except Tiny, are seniors and Tiny may even leave after his junior year.
